Buena Vista Restaurant

Lived in this area for over 12 yeas, always passed by it. Not sure why, just didn't appeal to me but I decided to try it out yesterday and it has to be one of the best Mexican restaurant I dined at. I had the vegetarian burrito and it was delicious! My husband had the chicken Chimichanga and raved about how great it was. I think i just found my new Mexican food spot!

We like a lot hanging out. Yesterday we arrived in this delicious place which friends told us about. We had a lovely time there with exceptional meal and an experienced crew and a distinguished chief cook. We added this place in our list and we will certainly come back very soon. We deeply recommend.

First off, they had 8 kids running around. The place was FILTHY, and the workers were all eating while I was trying to get someone to help me. The food was absolutely the worst mexican food i've ever had. You are wasting your time and money if you come here. I mean it was just horrible. The beans tasted like lemon and all of the food was freezing cold. Steak was like chewing on coal. Don't waste your time coming here, trust me.

Love their salsa. Let me restate that...it's the best salsa you will ever have. Period. We drive an hour just for their salsa. Made with roasted tomatoes it is to die for! Their other salsa is made fresh daily and contains just the right amount of spicy kick, with fresh ingredients. Nice view of the Fox River. It's not fancy but the food is excellent.

The best Mexican dishes in the area for miles, good service when Mom is around and even better when they're full force. I've only ordered a handful of dishes on there menu but the one that stood out was the "caldo de pollo". Nonetheless every item on there menu is top notch! Was very happy with both, food and service. Mostly food to be honest. Great dishes!

Awesome restaurant with great prices. If you get a seat in the window you will be overlooking the Fox River...nice views. Just about anything I ordered here was outstanding. The Chicken Mole was really good and the Chilli Rejeno was also tasty. This is a Family owned restaurant and the owner is almost always in the kitchen preparing the food. My recommendation is to get a good comfortatble booth. Enjoy 😉😎
