Great Hunan

Food was great and service was great. Spring rolls were a great starter, then came H17 crispy shrimp in cream sauce which tasted excellent. I finished my meal with sesame balls which were also good. I also had hot tea and ice water. This was my first meal at the Great Hunen but definitely will not be my last.

Worst Experience Ever!!! Ordered Chicken Chow mein and received soggy cabbage with tasteless chicken with Rice on side and no trace of noodles. Called the restaurant and they said they forgot the noodles. They offered to come back for noodles but the dish itself was a disappointment. Wouldn’t order here anymore.

We came here for dinner tonight. I got the Schezuan style bean curds, my husband got the Kung Pao Chicken, and my father-in-law got the Double Wonder. Our server, Diane, was wonderful and very attentive! I was impressed with how she was taking care of 20+ tables by herself and still checked in on us to make sure we had everything. It looks like the owners have to take our order so when they didn’t come right away, she immediately informed them and empathized with us. Of note, I was expecting the food to be spicy and it wasn’t very spicy. There were no Schezuan peppers in my dish and my husband only had 1 in his dish. It was very different from what I was expecting to get but still tasted really great for Chinese American food.

I love this restaurant! Their fried vegetable dumplings and the steamed pork dumplings are excellent, and their wontons are delicious. The restaurant is very pleasant (they did an excellent job on the remodel) and the staff is all very kind. Their vegetable fried rice comes in a large portion too, so lots of good leftovers!
