Super Pollo

This is our go to Peruvian chicken place. Better than every other place we’ve tried and consistently good. The chicken burrito is epic. The Yucca fries aren’t dry like they are lots of places and the sweet fried plantains are to die for. their garlic mayo and green sauce are Delicious I hate even giving a good review because we really like this place and don’t want it to get busy. It’s a gem for sure.

It was a tad dirty for my taste. They have a hot bar that they serve from which I thought was concerning but there was a stream of customers flowing in. My tuna salad was pretty good but it took forever to make. I'm going to assume it's because they don't have all of the fixings already prepared which is understandable since this is a chicken spot. I did witness good customer service from the friendly staff.

Solid Peruvian chicken place. Had the standard quarter bird with sides of mashed potatoes and a chicken fried rice that was really hearty. Very good first impression, we will be back for sure (we do most of our grocery shopping at the Harris Teeter a few doors away). 2nd visit: I had the steak & cheese sub (comes w/fries), she had the chicken kebab, which came with a made to order naan-like flatbread. Both excellent, especially the sub. Lots more menu to explore...

This place is slept on. People will put up with the long lines and lack of parking of kabob palace, and lack go seating. but if you wanna skip all that, come here. The food is great, portions are big, and service is understanding and friendly. Great place to bring the boys or eating everyday. I realized I can buy sides here for cheaper than I can make them.

EDIT: You can read my original review below. I am unfortunately having to modify it after two orders that were not correct and after a disappointing trip. Same person who took and did our order messed up both times. I will avoid him next time; I will ask for someone different to help if he is the person who takes our order, since every other experience has been great. In addition to a wrong order, the last time we went in at 930 pm and they were already taking food away, even though they can prepare orders quickly and there was no reason to start taking food away. Amazingly delicious! Everything I have tried. Their prices are great, and they have fast service.
