I can't speak highly enough of the pizza here. If you're looking for classic, thin-crust, New York/New Haven/New Jersey style pizza then you need look no further. Seriously the best pizza I've had since moving to the DC area. Anything else around here just doesn't meet the high bar that this restaurant has set.
It's a plus that the people running the business are super nice as well! Looking forward to coming here for many lunch-breaks in the future. I recommend calling ahead if you plan on getting a whole pie - they keep slices on hand but since everything is made fresh you may want to be ready for a slight wait.

This place has authentic New York style bagels and pizza. Everything I have eaten here is delicious with high quality ingredients at a great price. Be patient because there is not a lot of staff, but it's totally worth it.

These bagels are delicious and the real deal! It’s nice to get real bagels in Alexandria (finally). Tender, chewy, and a crust - just like they should be. This is a great little gem in south old town. Just a few tables but the staff don’t rush you. The bagels are great but when they’re gone for the day, they’re gone! My only complaint is that they don’t open earlier.

NY style bagels and pizza right in the heart of Old Town. My personal favorite is the everything bagel loaded with cream cheese, lox, onions, capers and tomatoes. Delicious!

You want an experience, this is the place. Mike and his wife were the absolute best and made us feel like family. We were in town for a wedding and they didn’t skip a beat, they kept the party rolling. Mike showed us his family pictures and told us all about his Sicilian roots. The hospitality, the drinks, the food, everything makes this place a true gem and we can’t wait to come back! Thanks for the memories!

I was at ally & indy (the pet store) last night with my puppy and decided to give the place a shot especially since the patio is dog friendly. The food and customer service was fantastic. I highly recommend this place. Especially if you want to get away from the touristy and busy King st. scene for a nice meal.

After driving past this little restaurant every day for months and saying we wanted to go, we finally caved in before seeing a play at the theater in Old Town. We took advantage of the $39.95 dinner special for two and it was SO much food. We both got the heaping portions of bruschetta which was delicious, and I got the chicken parm and my boyfriend got the chicken cacciatore. The red sauce was one of the best I've had in awhile. The special also included two glasses of wine and I had a crisp Pinot Grigio and my boyfriend (not a wine drinker) got the Chardonnay and actually loved it. Lastly, it included a shared dessert which I hadn't heard of before but it was whipped cream covered and I'm pretty sure we inhaled it whole. All in all, we cannot wait for our next trip back and highly recommend if you are looking for authentic Italian in Alexandria with a quaint ambiance.

In general, I like Trattoria. But, the New Year's Eve experience they put on was an amazing rip off. It came out to $300 for three people. It was to include a salad, an entree and a dessert with bottomless champagne or house wine. That would be acceptable if we had any kind of service. We only saw our waiter once. We never received our salads, and when we at least asked for our dessert, we were told "Hey, I brought you some wine. You should be happy. We are busy." That comment alone will keep me from coming back. Happy New Year.

One of the best if not the best restaurants in Northern Virginia and rivals any authentic Italian restaurant in DC. You get everything here- it's not just the food but the real Italian experience- I feel as though I'm at my grandparents house with my family. Live music on Friday and Saturdays - that's Amore! The Italian food is really good at decent prices. The ambiance is like an authentic neighborhood Italian bar/restaurant straight out of Brooklyn. :) And on nights when there is a singer, it's just a magical place - wonderful people and camaraderie. Franco is back as the owner.

Read Trip Advisor reviews. The owner Franco is a con man that pads the bill in an effort to rip off customers. Fortunately I read the reviews before the bill arrived and protested when the non itemized total was inflated by 50%. Don't go there!!

Heard Franco SOLD> Screwed his family over. Ran off to Italy with his South American Waitress. Nice guy ? Since Franco has been involved with this Argentinian, Daniela. Franco's restaurant has not been the same since. We will NEVER go back since Daniela works there. This place is always empty since Daniela has taken over. Franco's definition of family owned is very different from the norm, or anyone else. It's so depressing to see Franco get involved with this train wreck, Argentinian, Daniela. Horrible !
