I have been dinning in at Sushi Gen for 10 years amazing sushi rolls! I would have given My favorite sushi place a 5 star but I did not because of service, that being said it depends on times of the day you go and the different servers other then that I live it!

This is the ONLY place I go for sushi. Not only is the staff very friendly and informative but the "All you can eat sushi" is only $26 dollars a person!! I love the atmosphere and cleanliness of this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone! The only thing I wish is that it was on my side of town lol.

Always love coming here. The staff are super friendly and the $22 all you can eat is an amazing deal. Definitely try the crunch roll! We drive 2 hours 1 way just to come here. 😊🍣🍣🍣 Edit as of 2023: Service is still top notch. However, the quality of the rolls has gone down immensely in the past 2 years. Aside from that, updates to this restaurant need to be made. I think they should definitely raise prices and revamp the space.

Nice little hole-in-the-wall sushi joint. All you can eat sushi for $26, and it's well worth it! All the servers are really nice. Alcohol choices are limited, but they bring out the whole bottle. I would recommend it if you want a quick bite for lunch.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Sushi Gen Restaurant in San Mateo! The all-you-can-eat sushi was not only excellent in taste but also incredibly budget-friendly. The sushi chefs were lightning-fast, and the front-of-house staff was incredibly attentive. What a treat it was to enjoy perfectly portioned rolls while watching Pokemon - a unique and delightful touch. The presentation of the dishes was truly underrated and deserves special praise. I highly recommend Sushi Gen and can't wait to return with friends for another wonderful meal!

Honestly, I loved this place. The sushi was so good! I'm a simple man, and I enjoy nigiri. They have plain sushi here that I haven't seen yet. Just raw tuna/salmon wrapped in rice wrapped in nori. It was so good! My other half got the AYCE and it was worth it to see her get the seafood items she wanted. AYCE is 25.99. she got about $32 worth of sushi

The wait staff is always very polite and attentive. The price is good, the food was delicious. The atmosphere is calm and inviting. This place almost never disappoints. I had to take away one star from my last visit because I had to wipe lipstick off of my sake cup before I used it. Other than that small detail everything was amazing. Edit: cleanliness issue has been resolved they get all five stars. Service was very fast and the food was delicious.

Honestly new favorite place. This was amazing . The service was top notch , kept my water full at all times . For two people after drink and taxes is about 60 bucks . The waitress helped us choose from thier great selection. My favorite was the Cactus (it's spelled wrong on the yellow menu ) and the Philadelphia. Will come here everytime I visit alb.

The server was very nice and had no problem answering any questions we had. The crowd was small, every time we would show up there were on average 2 other parties. Very nice atmosphere. Food everytime was excellent. Serves was quick. Will always look forward to going back.

Excellent food! I was very impressed with everything ordered. I highly recommend the Crunch Roll, NM roll, and the Spider Roll. The sashimi was high quality and nice size cuts. All you can eat price and per roll!! Give this place a shot!
