A great view of the city. Awesome place to be and enjoy natures wonders.... The views are priceless
I took my husband to the tram and the restaurant at the bottom for his birthday, we absolutely loved the food and the views. You get a small discount on tram tickets for having a reservation at the restaurant ahead of time, so that's nice. Since we went in June and they are currently doing construction at the top of the mountain, there was no skiing, but you have time to walk around and enjoy the scenery until the last tram leaves in the evening.
I did actually pass out at the top due to the altitude, (they say that can happen if you're dehydrated or from or of town) however, we recently moved from Oklahoma and I wasn't used to living here yet! I still highly recommend it!
If you're visiting Albuquerque, taking the Sandia Peak Tram up to the top of Sandia Peak is a must! The tram is the second longest aerial tram in the world and the views as you ascend are spectacular. At the top you can ski if it's winter, or just ride the chairlift for fun if it's summer. There is a restaurant at the top of the mountain, and one at the bottom, next-door to the tram. It's slightly expensive but well worth it!
It was a fantastic adventure, very safe and fun. The hiking trails get a bit snowy, but the views - all 11,000 visible square miles of them - are flawless.

Didn't go up due to poor visibility but the restaurant called Sandiago's was really great with nice servers and the view from that terminal was still good
