Vigil's Beef Jerky

The only downside to this hidden gem is the fact that the U-haul signs throw you off a bit. Other than that the customer service is great, the prices are great! If you like thin jerky, Vigil's is the spot to go to! Plan on making another trip to Vigil's Beef Jerky soon! Holy Heck this stuff is good! Paper thing beef jerky with just the right amount of flavor. Nice and crisp, just the way New Mexican Jerky should be. Priced at $20 per half pound, which seems to be the going rate for good jerky. Green Chile Jerky is super tasty, but super mild. Would make the perfect gift for those.put of town friends who are sensitive to heat. Open 7 days a week! Take a nice little drive and grab yourself a healthy, tasty snack. And oh yeah... SUPPORT LOCAL!

I just got back home to Washington State after a 2 1/2 month road trip. While in Albuquerque I stopped at Costco for a resupply. Beef Jerky was on my list. A nice lady was giving out samples. I tried the red chile and lemon pepper recipes. At first I was a little surprised by how dry it was. But after savoring it for 30 seconds, the flavor hit me like a stampede! I used it in many camp recipes to add beef and spice to beans and rice. Really easy to just crush it; as you would many other spices. One evening while enjoying a beer and gazing at the stars, I slipped a piece of the lemon pepper jerky in my mouth and followed it up with some chili flavored pistachios. The flavor combo was INCREDIBLE! That deliciousness haunted me the rest of my road trip. After unloading the truck, the very next thing was to order a bunch online. I can't wait to try it in a spice grinder and add it to various dishes or, indulge myself with a whole strip by itself.

I honestly enjoyed the beef jerky. I had been looking for this type of jerky for quite some time and happened upon this brand. I purchased the green chile and red chile flavors, and will say they are fantastic. :0) Had a chance to speak with them personally and they were professional and aim to keep their customers happy, which is a lost art nowadays. I will be ordering again.
