I thought the food was awesome. True to their roots some of the food will have a little kick, good thing you can taste test. Heat or not it's all good. I'll be back for sure. For the pizza lovers they are also co habiting with Pizza 9.

Everyone here is so welcoming and the food is amazing. You even get to try samples before you commit to anything! Everything I tried tasted great. My boyfriend got the gumbo I ended up deciding on the voodoo chicken (🔥). We showed up and it was an employee’s birthday. We celebrated the moment with them and they are so nice there that they even gave us some cake. Everyone here is so accommodating and kind. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Amazing! Creole food at its best. Southern hospitality done right. Lynnette made us feel like family! We loved her passion for her food. Try the Crawfish with red beans and rice

Awesome service and very tasty food. I especially enjoyed the Drunken Chicken, Shrimp Creole, and Corn Bread. Ask for samples! They have great spicy options.

J Gumbo's is a fast food style, Cajun hideaway right here in Albuquerque. I went in expecting very little, as New Mexico is quite removed from anything "Cajun" and I left extremely satisfied. The menu it's full of options that can be customized and tailored to your desire. To top it off, the staff is amazingly helpful and able to discuss with you what makes a dish and how you can make it better. I will be returning for more.

Cajun food so delicious! You can pretty much do 1/2 or side of brown or balsamic rice, and 1/2of the entree or 1 full . Definitely loved and it will bring friends and family

Great food, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Nice to have a good Cajun/Creole place in Albuquerque that consistently serves a range of dishes. We tried the Gumbo, Jambalaya, Ratatouille, Drunken Chicken, and Jean Lafitte, and all are good starting points.

We really enjoyed our meal. Being able to taste the dishes first is great. I'm a native of the Cajon area, I very much liked the Jambalaya, both of the chicken dishes were fantastic. We will surly be coming back.

Wow, the bourbon chicken is spectacular! Go ahead and splurge on the cornbread, just sweet enough, and a nice thick density. Yum! They do offer small samples prior to ordering so you can't go wrong. Looking forward to ordering the red beans and rice next time. Service was a little slow at the counter but very polite, worth waiting for.
