Most Overlooked Korean Food in Town. When you hear someone say, "Korean food in Albuquerque?" I say yes there are two main places, Fu Yuang and used to be Yen Ching before it burnt down. Although a lot of people don't know about Arirang, which is not just a market, it happens to be the most overlooked Korean restaurant in Albuquerque. It's delicious food and since it's so overlooked, the hours for dining are limited and it's small seating but I love their food. It hits the spot everytime I go there. Bimibop and chapche are my favorite, also not greasy and overly priced.
GOOD GOOD. Cool little Mom and Pop restaurant in the back of the market and the Korean food is ON POINT! From what I saw most of the food comes out on hot skillets and the Spicy Pork Bulgogi that I had was great! I will be back to try something else. If you are looking for fancy decor, this is not your place, the food is great tho.
Great selection of Korean groceries and the restaurant serves authentic and delicious Korean food. Granted, this is not a Korean food mecca, but I will be back to satisfy my Korean food craving.
One of my favorites is dolsot bibimbap but today I felt like eating noodles so I ordered jap chae, chewy noodles with thin strips of grilled meat and vegetables in a light sauce.
A hidden gem :) tastiest Korean food in town in my opinion, very homey and comforting dishes. I am a big fan of the cold spicy noodles but all the hot dishes are amazing as well. You can go shopping afterwards too for some Asian groceries :)
Korean restaurant and grocery store in the same place. This is probably the most authentic Korean food I have had outside of South Korea. Food was wonderful and prices are fair. If you are looking for that hole in the wall Korean restaurant to get a good meal, go to A-Ri-Rang. You will not be disappointed. After you eat, you can peruse the aisle of the marketplace and get kimchi or other Korean foods.
The supermarket is small but you can find anything that you need. Also they have a restaurant inside, wow 😳 the best Korean food that i have tried here in New Mexico everything tasted sooooo good!!!! Definitely will go again! Recommend 20/10 exciding my expectations
Hidden Gem…. I drive by this place all the time. I finally gave it a shot today. The Bulgogi is great and the seaweed salad was good to. My only wish was bigger drinking glasses with more ice. It was a hot day and I won’t give them a hard time about that. Overall if you want something different and a local hole in the wall this is it.
If you love korean food then your choices of places to go are a bit limited here in Albuquerque but we have a couple gems that will satisfy your cravings! This place is on the top of that list, the staff is so nice and everything on their menu is perfect. Authentic korean from the smells, taste and atmosphere. So if you're wanting some korean or interested in trying it for the first time this is the place to go and when you're done eating feel free to pick up some korean snacks, drinks or grocery since in fact they were at first a grocery store. YOU MUST TRY THE SEAFOOD PANCAKE! BEST IVE HAD!
I reviewed many ratings before my first time eating at the restaurant today. I agree with most reviewers that the food is good. I am very hard to please, and I found the place was clean and the service was good. I would definitely say if I found anything unacceptable. All three dishes served to us were very large. I do agree with the reviewers who said there was not quite enough meat in the meat dishes. This is likely a culturally American perspective, I would imagine - me included. I expected the meat to dominate the dish and be present in every bite. That isn't how it was. I did observe that the meat was in equal portion to other elements in the dish, and I bet that was the chef's real intention. The meat that was there was very tasty, though. I really liked the pickled radish side. That was the first I ever had. So this hard to please person would encourage you to try out the place. You may want to adjust your expectations about the amount of meat you'll have in your meal. I will, and I will dine there again.
Delicious quiet spot to eat food home made Korean food the lady that took our order was so nice . The food was too good this is my new spot
Really enjoyed our lunch today. I admit a bit of hesitation with the chili paste, but it was mild and sweet, so we mixed it all in! Looking forward to trying other available dishes.
Best dolsot bibimbap I've had in Albuquerque. A hidden gem inside a very unassuming grocery. While it's a very small little restaurant at the back of the grocery store, it's clear that they have a lot of take out business. As you're seated, you're given a nice glass of barley tea while you look over the menu. It is very refreshing. The dishes are all very good and comforting. We love having dinner and then stocking up on some of our favorite Asian groceries afterward. Our favorite Korean restaurant in Albuquerque, by far.
A cute little market with a restaurant in the back that's ran by a Korean family. The food and customer service is great. I love the kimchi, bimbibap and the noodles that they serve here
