Great service, great food, tried the pork belly and bacon appetizer. It was great drank morbuc Ipa. It was awesome, tried the crimson red, it was great to. I world recommend finding this hidden gem
I love this place. If it was close to home we would be here everyday. Our server Rob remembers us and knows what beer we order and what food we get. By far the best service in Albuquerque. He is a super star.
Good Food; Good Beer. Finally, a brewpub that serves a real pint of beer. The southwest chicken wrap that I got was excellent. Real chunks of chicken breast vs the cheap, processed chicken slices that are usually used, like at The Canteen. Nice shaded patio. Great service, too. Much better place than their Juan Tabo location. This place will be a regular spot for us. Shaded parking, too.
I’ve tried fish and chips, bangers and mashed, and some appetizers here. I’ve tried the same fare from San Diego to Boston. This is the best of all. Highly highly highly recommended!!! I’m not sure what’s better the beer, food or service, but I am definitely coming back.
The kill or be Kilt beer is quite possibly the best Scottish ale I've ever had. The atmosphere is great. Two stories, one of which is basically underground, and a nice patio section of course.
It can be hard to find the building. It's actually under the street in a parking garage lol. I ate here with some friends. The beer was pretty good and we were offered some samples. The beer selection is not huge though and it is confusing since they have names of their old beers everywhere that they don't serve anymore. I'm vegetarian so I ended up with chips and queso. The waiter did ask the cooks if the gravy was vegetarian for me (it wasn't), so that was nice of him. He definitely seemed a little drunk or high though. My friends ordered the fish and they didn't like it that much. They said the breading was bad. The atmosphere is also interesting - the space is kinda small and feels a bit cluttered, and I don't really get the Irish pub vibes from it. I think the best food was the pretzels with beer cheese. I would say it's a good experience, but not the most memorable one.
This place is hidden away in a very unsuspecting spot, almost under ace hardware. You must find the outside stairwell and head down to get in. Wasn’t busy and we had many tables to pick from. The waiter came right over. He was very nice. We ordered appetizers and drinks. The food came out quick but because our waiter was busy being a bartender across the room someone else eventually brought them. They were very tasty, especially scotch eggs that have lamb mixed in. The pretzels were also good, they weren’t heavy Bavarian style, but a lighter more mall style. Our waiter eventually returned took our entree order. It came out super fast and was brought over immediately. Everything tasted delicious. Great sausage and great mashed potatoes as well. Really good food here and will definitely return
This place is awesome — stopping down for a yummy huge beer motivates me to go to the hardware store since it’s below my Ace, the food is even better than it would need to be (really excellent bratwurst), and it may be my favorite place in town to watch basketball. They will def tire of me if Lakers make the playoffs this year🍻
Would give a 6 if I could, food was fantastic and well worth the price staff was friendly and quick cheesecake was bomb and quite frankly the best cheesecake I've ever had. Definitely going back soon
First Visit!
My first impression is very festive, as it is decorated for the Holidays.
Fairly quiet when we arrived at 11:30. By 12:15, there was a lunch crowd.
I ordered the Fish & Chips, as a friend had recommended before we arrived. They ranked with the best Fish and Chips I have eaten! I will definitely come back for more.
I did not try the beer, since we came for lunch, but this place will definitely be put on my happy hour list.
I really like that you can sample the beers and if you have a favorite beer they will literally can a quart of beer for you, right in front if your eyes. Very cool process!
Discovered they have bands on Saturday evening 7-9pm, and that their outdoor seating area has heaters, so it can be a year round adventure.
Myself and my friends love Quarter Celtic! It's got such a cool atmosphere, I love the "underground" location they have off San Mateo, super cool hideaway. The food and beer are always great, especially if you are just kicking back with friends on a nice evening out. Sometimes they can get a little busy, so be prepared that service may not be as quick as you'd like. I recommend coming before dinner or later in the evening if quick service is what you are after. Family friendly, and they have a nice outdoor seating area. Cheers!
Don't recommend the shrimp po boy. Everything else I've tried has been good. Great beer selection and servers are friendly and quick. Buffalo chicken sandwich was really good.
