Everyone calls this place a "hidden gem", and that's the word for it! Their food is fantastic. The family cooks, serves, and is uber-friendly. Our favorite is the stuffed cabbage...so much so that when they were out last night when we ate there, we came back this morning when they had made more and we got it to go. We also recommend the pierogi, sausage platter, sauerkraut stew, and wonderful potato salad. And the borscht if you are lucky enough to be there on a day they have it.

Where in ABQ can you get Ukrainian-Polish-Chicago food? Right here. Italian Beef Original “Vienna Beef” brand Italian beef, gravy, cheese, hot or sweet peppers on French bread. (Make it a combo for 1.50! Every bit as good as the Italian Beef served in the best places in Chicago (Portillo's and Al's #1). The Lincoln Pork. Art Wienerschnitzel Lettuce, mayo, breaded pork chop, pickles, jalapeno, mustard. Solanka. A delicious homemade Russian soup or red sausage soup. Russian Roulette Mix of 6 different kinds of pierogi with savory stuffing, served with sour cream. Get onions and bacon on top. These made Dazzling Deanell swoon. Homemade Ukrainian-style Borscht. Made by Mark's mother-in-law. Delicious. Polish/German Platter. Polish sausage and a German beer brat served with sides of potato salad, sauerkraut and sauerkraut stew. Sweet Russian Roulette. 6 Dumplings stuffed with fruit fillings and sweet farmers cheese. Topped with sour cream and fruit syrup. Treat yourself to these on your next visit to RRD. Sound tempting? Then get yourself over to RRD right now. I have been there three times in the last two weeks.

If you’re looking for a very unique Eastern European hole in the wall culinary experience then look no further than Red Rock Deli. I had the Borscht soup, the Russian roulette Pierogis, and the Polish German platter and it was all 5 stars and definitely a go out and get it now! They also have a mini market full of Eastern European delicacies of anything that you can think of that you can browse after you are done with your meal. It’s a family owned establishment, the service was excellent and the family working there are very friendly and personable. They will answer any questions you have about the cuisine. This place is truly a hidden gem and a cultural experience in the heart of Midtown Albuquerque.

This was another restaurant I found on Facebook. The food was absolutely delicious and I was able to find knockwrust and their store section which is something I haven't had since I was able to get to a German deli back east. All of the food was really fresh, just make sure you plan time to sit and eat, because the place is busy. If anyone's looking for a new place to try I definitely recommend coming here. I also just want to make a note that the staff was really friendly and nice.

I have got to stop coming here. I'll gain tons of weight! I discovered this place last Sunday while looking for Grumpy's guitar in the same strip mall. One of my kids was with me. We had red borscht, Russian roulette pierogis, and gyro. I fell in love with the place. We both wanted to come back again. We bought some baked goods and Halva to take home. Then, I took a friend from Poland when he was visiting on business (He loved the place - we had pierogi again, red borscht, and Polish and German sausage, three types of sauerkraut, potato salad ... waaaayyy too much food). Personally, I think the red borscht is the best. I never had in my life until now. It's the perfect meal. And, the Polish sausage crushes it ... I will be eating much more of that. Next, I took my wife. She had the gyro, I had the white borscht. My wife is Turkish. She knows her gyros. She was exceptionally pleased with the gyro at Red Rock Deli. My wife tried the white borscht, liked that better than the red borscht. So far, the red is my favorite. She loves places like Red Rock Deli ... she recognizes much of the food because she's from Europe. I'd only had Polish / Ukrainian food one other time in my life, when I lived in NYC. so, most of the items in the store I am not familiar with and someone has to explain it to me. We left with an assortment of groceries - mustards, teas, cookies, crackers, etc. Today for an early dinner I had the Art Wiener Schnitzel (breaded pork cutlet), my kid the Gyro, my wife the Ukrainian Borscht, and we all shared mushroom and kraut pierogi. For dessert they had a poached peach something Helene, and we got the sweet pierogi. The sweet berry pierogi was awesome ... the peach dish could easily qualify for an exceptionally high end, fine dining type dessert ... it looked high end, and was exceptional with numerous tastes all working together ... but still separate and unique. Hard to describe, but over the top good. My daughter loved the sweet cheese pierogi. That's 4 times in a week!!! I never get psyched about a place like this. A bunch of tastes I'v either rarely had or never had. And, they've got jams, and honeys, and baked goods, and take home pierogis, custards, meats, breads !!!

Found this place by accident but left with a new life goal... To try everything in the menu! Came to try some perogies but ended up getting the polish menudo since it was hyped up on the menu. I was not disappointed! Definitely a hidden gem of Albuquerque.

Was a wonderful little shop with amazing food! Can't wait to come back and try something different. The pirogi are handmade and the Deli is family owned, so great service and food made with love! I had the Italian beef sandwich and it's to die for! I was able to get sausage too that I've been looking for (weisswurst) . Great people fair prices good atmosphere! Love it!

Red Rock Deli has been one of my favorite spots in Albuquerque since they were at their old location. I will always recommend the pierogi and their blood and barley sausage is fantastic! This is one of the only places in Albuquerque I can find Five Star Bakery Kvass (the best!). I always tell my friends to stop in if they're looking for something they can't find anywhere else in Albuquerque. It's been a while since I've been in but this was one of the only other places I could find sunflower seed halva. The owners are very friendly and I can't speak highly enough of them or their hospitality.

It looks like an older place, but once you bite into one of their delectable pierogi, nothing else in the world matters. They are soft, potatoey, cheesy, amazing little parcels of everything that's good in life. And then dipping into sour cream just takes it over the top. Their neat little market has a bunch of stuff I couldn't read, but all the pics on the packages tell me what magic is within. In addition to the frozen pierogi in the market part, they also make handmade ones. And quite a variety too. Even vegan ones! My wife and I ate handmade.. both regular and vegan to test for our vegan daughter. Wow! I also had a Polish sausage with beautiful caramelized onions and brown mustard. We ended up taking home 3 1/2 pounds of frozen, handmade pierogi. I already know we are going to be regular customers there or wherever they set up shop. Go and order the potato and cheese pierogi....your heart will be happy and that pairs well with a full tummy.

Wonderful gem tucked away in Albuquerque. Little restaurant and deli serving flavorful polish foods. Polish store also carries many polish foods my husband loves. Special ordered a cake for polish group gathering. It was beautiful and delicious! There wasn’t a single piece left over.

This place is a hidden gem. I've been twice now and the food is absolutely delicious and made with lots of love. Not only can you get a home cooked meal but they have a small assortment of traditional groceries that you can take home. I've had the kraut + mushroom pierogi twice and highly recommend getting them with the onions and bacon. Do not expect quick service though. They're a family run business and the meals take time to prepare. The food is totally worth the wait!
