Had a wonderful meal with my father here to celebrate the holidays. James was our server and we were treated so well! Outstanding service, delicious food, cozy funky old town ambience. Such an Albuquerque staple, and there’s just something special about it at Christmas. We had a wonderfully fun evening. (Insider secret order the beer red Chile prawns or scallops as an appetizer! So good especially with the delicious bread) you’re welcome.

On our quest for a spot worthy enough to wear a “Pretty Velvet Dress” in celebration of my love’s birthday, we stumbled upon the quaint yet enchanting Restaurant Antiquity. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming exterior nestled within Old Town Albuquerque—behind that modest sign and weathered screen door lies a culinary experience that will leave both your tummies and hearts full. The entrance is just steps away from the grill which fills the air with the intoxicating scent of charcoal-grilled steaks. After a quick check on our reservation, the host led us to an intimate nook sprinkled with birthday confetti—a sweet touch that set the tone for our celebration. While waiting for our server, we checked out the wine menu, settling on the Montecillo Bodega Centenaria Crianza—a perfect blend of dry and off-dry. Soon after, our server James arrived and wowed us with his presentation of the specials. We decided to kick things off with the Beef Carpaccio, freshly cut tenderloin served with lemons, capers, and Parmesan. Next up, clam chowder for me and a spectacular upgraded salad recommendation by James, for my love. I often joke that, “Salad offends me because it eats the food my food eats.” This salad was a game-changer—spinach, strawberries, apples, mandarin oranges, dried cherries, bacon, candied pecans, and a star-worthy pear vinaigrette. My love said it was the best salad she has ever eaten. I felt a bit guilty for eating so much of it, but she was just happy I finally ate something green! Mid-salad, inspired by my obsession with Gordon Ramsay, I bravely ventured into uncharted territory and asked James for a single scallop. The man delivered, presenting the plumpest scallop in the kitchen, accompanied by a citrus jalapeno cream sauce. It was a buttery revelation. The main courses were a challenge—huge portions of perfectly cooked proteins, simple veggies, and potatoes au gratin with a spicy Hatch Green Chili sauce. My love tapped out early, boxing up her Pork Normande, but I tackled my NY Strip with gusto. Once our plates had been cleared, my towel was thrown, and the food coma began to set in. Undaunted, James appeared to tempt us with the dessert menu. We were skeptical until he described the seasonal homemade peppermint cheesecake. It was impossible to say no. Armed with coffee, we enjoyed every moment of the fluffy, vibrant cheesecake drizzled with chocolate and topped with crushed peppermint. It was nothing short of wonderful. With a final bill just under $200 before gratuity, Restaurant Antiquity proved to be much more than dinner—it was an experience. Every element, from joyful knowledgeable servers to the vibrant passion evident in each dish, contributed to an unparalleled dining experience. In the realm of upscale dining, Restaurant Antiquity is a place to fall in love with your person and the food in Old Town Albuquerque.

Antiquity came up in all my search results including my accomodation as one of the top restaurants to dine; naturally we had to visit for our first dinner date during our visit. We admired the rustic look and feel of the interior with its dim lighting for ambiance! Reservation is strongly recommended assuming due to limited seating and your meals are prepared to order. Our waiter was pleasant and treated us with exceptional service the entire time. Highly recommend for cozy and enjoyable meal in a quiet environment so you may engage in light banter while dining. Suggestion to try: - We had the stuffed mushrooms that wet cooked to perfection. - The pumpkin cheesecake may have been specially for Thanksgiving but it was decadent. Note: Their menu offers an extended wine offerings but no spirits due to limited space for a bar.

If you are searching for a quasi-romantic, one-of-a-kind restaurant in Albuquerque; Antiquity Restaurant (located just off Old Town) *must* be at the top of your list. It is frequently called a steakhouse, and while they may have choice cuts you'd be missing out if you order your typical petite filet without investigating the menu. The service is beyond impeccable and the restaurant itself is quaint and cozy and their specials are practically to die for. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms (decadent) and led into my meal with a "special salad"; Fresh greens, candied pecans, fresh fruit, bacon crumbles and topped with a pear vinaigrette it was probably the best salad I've ever had. I chased the salad with the lamb special, cooked to perfection and finished the meal by splitting a pumpkin pie cheesecake. Parking (curb side) is usually not too challenging, all within a short walk but the facilities are those of old town so accessibility is not at the forefront of the building. You will pay a price, but every cent is worth it. Do not miss out, anyone not listing Antiquity at the top of their short list is in my book, not to be trusted.

By far the best steak restaurant in Albuquerque. Tradition and taste have surpassed all other options in the Abq. The steak was perfectly cooked and our waiter made the finest recommendations for my wife to try the Fish Special - Mackerel. It was well balanced with a buttery and seasoned taste. Each meal comes with a salad or soup of the day. And since it was our anniversary, our waiter even comped us a rich chocolate mousse accompanied with fresh fruit and whipped cream. The owner would peruse the tables and mindfully checked in on everyone for the night, just to make sure things were going smoothly. There aren’t many tables in this establishment, so make a reservation if you would like to enjoy a delicious steak or seafood.

First, the whole atmosphere was romantic and private. There was a whole dining room next to us but we still felt very enclosed in our sweet little spot. The server was absolutely fantastic, all the staff were super attentive. Now, the food. We both had the special and really enjoyed both the Oysters Rockafeller and the Grouper. They have an extensive wine list that is very good, and also you can cork and take the bottle if you're not done. Highly recommend.

Amazing night with friends with absolutely delicious food and wine. We had ribeyes that were so tender and flavorful. Our host was a amazing man who gave us great opinions. This place is one of my favorite places to have steaks. I give them 5 🌟and will come back for sure.

Definitely call ahead and get a reservation because this place is awesome. If you are like us and love to go cruising, you're going to love this menu. We had shrimp scampi, escargot, Henry IV, and ended it with creme brulee. Our server Sean was amazing and the food was exquisite! On cruise ships yes cargo is heavier on the garlic which I'm used to and love but there's this more on the lemon side. Very extensive menu and beautiful choices. Highly recommend and if we had one in town we'd eat their often.
