First Burger

First burger is one of if not THE best place in Albany, Or for burgers. They have build your own, western, mushroom, Mac n cheese, and more. They also have ice cream and lovely, lovely employees. The woman working there this morning was just the absolute sweetest. Go first thing in the morning for best service.

Driving up to Portland International Airport and decided to stop in Albany for lunch. We chose First Burger because it was a beautiful day and they had tables outside. The bacon guacamole burger with the tater tots--dipped in the first burger sauce--were delicious. The mushroom burger with the hand cut fries--dipped in the first burger sauce-were delicious as well. So, as you can tell, you can't go wrong with either tots or fries. The burger selection and serving size is very good. You will not walk away hungry. The first burger sauce is highly recommended. The staff is courteous and friendly which makes First Burger a comfortable place to eat. A beautiful sunny day, great tasting burgers for lunch, and outdoor seating. What more could you ask for?

The food was pretty good. They put their house sauce on their burgers by default. But I didn't care for their house sauce nor did others in my party. Fries were okay. The root beer had an odd taste. But I might go back and try them again. They have local artist's work hanging on the walls for sale which is kinda cool too.

The place is interesting I'll try and explain. So the burger is good and if that's what you want is a quality burger then this will meet or meat your needs. Now if you want table side service then you might look elsewhere because this is an order at the counter establishment. The odd thing was how the hostess taking orders appeared completely overwhelmed and stressed and it was really being felt by the customer even though there were only 18 customers in the place and 4 people in the line. Not exactly stress making busy so that was odd, the lady tending tables appeared to be easily handling the work and we had good service from her. So the service was fine but a bit odd at the order and the food was good to even better than average and the place was clean.
