Not a bad spot for Mexican food. Some dishes are better than others (tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas are solid). fried fish is not very good—can be seasoned better. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I’ve been a customer for years. But give me a break I ordered guacamole, 12$. And get, what 15 chips? And two tortillas with the fajitas? (In my note, I politely asked for more. I think I got 3-4 last time) Can you guys be a little stingier? What’s a flour tortilla cost you I have a lot of empathy for restaurants these day. But this is really lame

I can't give this place a full review. It was my classified mistake of picking some you would have picked something and getting something different. However I will upload the pictures to show. Not getting what I ordered is influencing my review. Don't get me wrong but I got what's delicious.

Food was great! I had two of the street tacos and they were excellent. Good parking right around the corner. Service was slightly slow, but I was eating with 3 kids so maybe I was just impatient :). I think the place used to be La Pinata. My son loved his food as well. Good day out in Alameda.

The outside dinning experience Was awful pigeons everywhere busses/truck's less then a foot from your table. Standing in the hallway and trying to order off a full menu for a party of 6 was interesting...... How about a paper menu at the table and everyone can pick the food and one person bring up the menu all checked off. If you were inside you did get a waitress.... If you sat outside I guess it was considered Togo some people got plastic and some got actual plates on other tables....my wife ordered pescado a full size fish that came wrapped in foil just sitting on the table we had to ask for a plate the Waite seemed a bit confused that it came only in foil.........the $5 mixed lemonades were pure sugar and had to be diluted by half and they were mostly ice......... The food was extremely good but not enough to make up for it.... Now I understand if they were short staffed but that didn't seem to be the case.... More confused than anything.... although not lately we have eaten there quite a bit over the years.... Even when it was la pinata.... Food has always been the best and we'll definitely be back.

The food is great here. The place is almost always crowded. Expect a wait for larger parties. Getting the check when your ready to go has been a problem several times. I tried to drop my handicapped elderly mother by the front door but there is no place to pull over due to the parklets that were created for Covid. I think it’s time to remove these and give the elderly and handicapped access.

It's ALWAYS wonderful here. The salsa is AMAZING. I don't know how they get that SMOKEY flavor. The whole crispy fried RED SNAPPER. END OF DISCUSSION!!!@@

This place was hopping on Cinco de Mayo. Super fun crowd, not so packed you couldn't get a drink or a seat at the bar (eventually). The food was fantastic (fried calamari, I'm Italian and it was some of the best I've ever had). I loved this place when it was La Pinata, but I think I like it more as La Penca.
