Golden Corral

The food was pretty good, though I do wish they had a bigger selection, more variety similar to the smorgasbord offered at the Augusta, Ga location. They were fairly busy on my last visit though the kitchen staff did an excellent job of keeping everything on the buffet, quickly replacing any low or empty pans. I wish I could speak as highly of the wait staff. I was quite disappointed and disheartened by the lack of help any of them offered a fellow waitress who had been left a horrendous mess by a very disrespectful family that lacked any sort of etiquette or anything remotely resembling it (they also failed to leave any tip whatsoever). I’ve attached a photo of said mess, which this young lady had already begun to clean by the time I took the pic. Several of her coworkers, some even in groups, came over to the table to gawk at her disaster, offering “I’m sorry” or “I feel for ya” but not a single one lifted a finger to so much as bring her the broom or roll a garbage can to her, though two of them did decide to sit at a nearby table and watch as she cleaned the mess by herself and another came to inform her that she needed her help once she was finished with that table. My husband, our girls and I watched her approach the table on the verge of tears and offered to help and even stood to do so but she insisted we sit and enjoy our meal. Since she refused any help, we instead tipped her for the family who had been so rude and discourteous. In short, while the food was good my family and I will not be returning to the Aiken location due to the lack of consideration and courtesy upheld by the wait staff.

Decent food, though sometimes things are a little off at buffets for my tastes. (Mainly the batches of hush puppies and fried shrimp I had were overcooked. Probably not always like that. The sweet potato casserole was totally pureed thin mush, but some people like that, I guess. Everything else was fine.). If you come hungry, you'll get a good value out of it. Staff was very nice and helpful.

I ate at this location one night with a friend around 8pm. My waitress was so nice. We didn't even have to ask, she was always there, smiling, filling our drinks and offering help in any way. While some food had been sitting for a bit, after bringing it to the employee's attention, they were on it. Got great fresh food with friendly fast service! Great spot to eat/indulge!
