Romano's Macaroni Grill

We went as a group from office to have holiday lunch and some fun. The service was too slow. It took 45 minutes to an hour for the waiter to come and take our orders. We felt that waiter deliberately delayed his service as he knew that we are a group more than 6, gratuity is automatically added. I don't think I will go there again. Food was good thought

The food wasn't that great. It didn't taste fresh at all. They had an issue with the card system so I had to wait at least 15mins to have my card processed. They ended up charging my card twice and they're now having to refund me. I was very nice about the whole situation, tipped 20%. Figured they'd comp the appetizer after making me wait so long... thought they'd throw in something after they charged my card twice. Nope. They weren't rude but weren't very apologetic either. Overall it was a bad experience.

Went on a Sunday with my family of 6 and the restaurant was mosty empty at the time. Food quality and flavor was good, but preparation time was unreasonably long. Salads took about 15 mins to come out after ordering and entrees took 30 minutes additional to come out after that. One entree took 40 minutes. No compensation was offered. Restaurant temperature was very cold as well.

Quality has gone down. It's like a Luby's now. Went on a Friday night with my parents at 7:30. We were one of the only tables in there. The lights are so bright, it was seriously like a cafeteria. Food quality is way down. Sad since it used to be a nice place to go for dinner, now it's for senior citizens.

This specific location deserves zero stars - I truly regret coming here. I have been to numerous Macaroni Grills in DFW, and a few outside of Texas, and this is absolutely the worst one I have ever been in. My wife and I came here on a Friday night in June 2016, thinking we might have to wait a little before being seated, and to our surprise the place was ridiculously empty - there were probably two or three groups of people dining. We sat at a booth, and I began to notice how dirty the place seemed, and while still thinking about their lack of cleanliness the host brought us a high chair for our 11 month old and the chair was sticky and disgusting - yet we remained silent. We ordered two different pastas and a tomato basil soup, and french fries for our son. The entrees came out soo fast it was unbelievable, yet the food was terrible!! It was dry, lacked quality taste, and the chicken was literally tasteless. Seriously, I've had Macaroni Grills entrees before and not once in my life had I been displeased with their food - but I guess there is a first time for everything. The soup came afterwards, which was cold and tasted weird. Then finally came our son's fries like 15 minutes later - which was probably the tastiest thing on the table - well that and the coke. We ate half our meals because we were starving (actually we had been fasting in observance of the holy month of Ramadan) so we didn't want to make a big deal out of it. One of the chefs walked by and asked how everything was, and I replied that the food was 'ok', and thus he noticed something was off and requested feedback because he "didn't want us to pay for something we didn't like", which was really nice of him and for that alone I told him to not worry about it. Our server (Toby) quickly came after and asked if everything was okay - I guess he was hinted by the chef to see why we were disappointed, and I merely responded that "we have had the same meals before at different locations and these entrees taste completely different", to which he apologized and didn't offer any replacements or anything. We paid, in full, plus 15% tip, and couldn't wait to leave. I should have read the reviews from others, and I guess I didn't because I thought this franchise was consistent - apparently I was wrong!

This facility appeared closed at 1:15 on a Saturday. Upon entering only one couple was dining. THERE WERE NO STAFF TO BE SEEN IN THE FACILITY. I entered the kitchen to inquire if they were open A kitchen staff member emerged with filthy attire. He attempted to seat us. We left as we knew the experience would be a repeat of the last visit. 6 years ago I visited a Macaroni Grill and experience terrible service. This visit was prompted by the receipt of a gift certificate. It's apparent the chain is in trouble. Addison has many good restaurants. Avoid Macaroni Grill!
