Review Shuck N Jive - Addison

When we walked in, we were told "this is a smoking bar, but the food here is phenomenal" and that was 100% accurate. Everything everyone in our party tried was fantastic, no complaints. The chicken fried pork chop was recommended as the best option, and it is so good, you might like it even if you don't normally like pork chops. The grilled oysters are also top notch, but if you need a less adventurous option, the cheese fries have an excellent queso on there that will please the pickiest of eaters. Definitely a great pick for some unexpectedly good food.

Old bar/ club. Live band. Food n drinks in one side. Most items are good. The fried fish is not one of them. It was pretty tho. Memphis club/ lounge on the other. Most bands are good. The band this night was terrible. Enough drinks and you don't notice. Parking is good. Prices good. Great staff.

Stopped in here completely at random. Was staying in a nearby hotel and was looking for somewhere that was open late.. Ordered a poboy and a beer. Kicked back and just took in the atmosphere, wasnt really where I thought Id end up for the day but it was a decent experience. Food came out after not too long, and was pretty decent. No complaints..

An Addison staple. The menu is simple, and approachable. They are known for their oysters , which are procured from the best of the best suppliers in the Gulf. The entire menu has hidden gems. Don’t let the casual, local watering hole feel fool you. There are seriously amazing culinary delights to be had! Go for any Po Boy!!! Bread is perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside! (Rivals any Po Boy in NewOrleans.) My favorite is the blackened catfish Po Boy with cheese. The fries, ohhh the fries! You’ll throw rocks at McDonald’s! It’s a special secret salt made especially for THIS Shuck n’ Jive and Nowhere else. The wings are OUTSTANDING! (Local tip)… Get the lemon pepper wings, it’s not on the menu, but it’ll change your expectations for wings! They are BIG and perfectly cooked. (Local tip)…Don’t ask for all drums or all flats, they are as perfect as wings get, honestly the best wings in Addison! Honestly, a can’t miss menu that everyone will love!

Idk about the atmosphere but the catfish plate is bad. Very watery and fishy and underseasoned. And the side of red beans and rice was given to me in one of those little sauce cups typically used for ketchup and ranch Incredibly over-priced. Go next door for food

My first time in this location. Had to wait for bartender to clear glasses from previous patron. I noticed there are a lot of regulars at the bar and they were quite loud. The music was very loud and everyone was shouting over it. The food was on the mark for this chain. The NBA finals were on and one patron was getting excited and even louder than the roar of the regulars. One of them told him to shut up and hit himm. The louder patron pushed him into another customer. Manager asked only the louder guy to leave and not the assailant. This did not bode well with either the loud guy or the other patron who was not involved. The loud guy threw his beer across the room to the floor and turned to leave. At this time another of the regulars bum rushed the loud guy and shoved him from behind. Others rushed in to prevent further escalation, and the loud guy left. Most fun I've had in a while.

I never write reviews but this place was so rude to my wife I have to leave a comment. We called asking about the menu and the guy who answered was extremely rude and hung up on us to put the cherry on top of a bad experience.

Food was TERRIBLE!!!! I ordered a Long Island, but what I got was like brown lemonade!!! Ordered the seafood trio, they can't even cook fish where the batter stays on the fish. Will never go back to this place. And if you're wise, you'd stay away too!!

Been coming here for 20+ years and have never experienced a bad meal. The food is simply great! Considering the local competition from all the Addison restaurants it is remarkable to be this good and this consistent for such a long time!

Great catfish. Huge portions. Tasty coleslaw and beans and rice too.

It’s good for oysters on the half shell, and fried seafood. Smoking is allowed, so it stinks. Service was fair.

Live band was good, nice mix of people. The drinks were decent and the food was ok for a bar.

Good food, cheap daily drink specials before 9pm, and cheap weekly shots

Classic Cajun food. Great people, waitstaff and bartenders plus amazing chefs creating great food in an atmosphere that makes you feel at home. Bonus... live music 7 nights a week at the attached nightclub bar Memphis, famous for live entertainment nightly for 34 years. You just may never know who may pop on to sit in... many stars from

We were there for the OU UT game. The oysters were large and tasty. Service was phenomenal!

Went to the one in Addison on Sunday, May 28, & have been dealing with a case of food poisoning ever since! It's been mild, but long. My friend & I had shrimp (mine was the fried shrimp). Within an hour, I was not feeling that well, but it didn't occur to me that I was starting to get food poisoning. Well, by the next day, my insides were not doing well & I ran a fever & so I went over everything I had eaten in the past 24 hours & it was the shrimp. Tuesday night, the fever broke, so I thought I was almost over it, but not so. I can't even eat any fruits or vegetables because they wreak havoc on me right now. Then, yesterday, I was really dehydrated because of your spoiled shrimp that gave me food posioning! I ended up having to drink Gatorade just to replace the electrolytes I lost from your spoiled shrimp! You would think that a seafood restaurant would just be more careful than that. I really wasn't too sure until yesterday when my dining companion said that his stomach has been upset all week too. FYI, shrimp & other shellfish are highly perishable! I don't want any compensation because I do not ever plan to return to Shuck n Jive. EVER!!! If you all are that careless, then you don't deserve to be in business!
