Review Sherlock's Baker St. Pub & Grill - Addison

This was a last-minute thing, and I was not disappointed! Had such a great time dancing and especially watching the live band play. I will definitely be back to see the same group, COLD SHOTS from Houston Tx play again. We didn't try the food, so I'm not sure how that was. The service was great. Our waiter was awesome.

Good vibes and drinks. Went to see a band (The Max) perform. Had a reserved table near the front of the stage. Fun to people watch. Everyone seemed to have a good time. Reasonable prices. Police out front for safety.

Sherlock's is just a great time with food. It's definitely more of a 30s to 50s crowd and the music is so loud it just goes through you. I wish it would bring the music down just a little bit but that could be because I'm getting at that age that the music just annoys me. It is fun to take friends there and just hang out and spend a lazy afternoon.

Our go to for live music on Friday /Saturday. Foods a bit skimpy for the price. Service is decent most nights. No cover. Drinks are good and priced well. Crowd ranges from twenty something to dancing grandparents and everything in between.

Great place for casual night out, with a London style on bar/restaurant area and a separate section for concerts, also has dart boards available. Food menu with great options at a good price, mozzarella sticks were great, thrilled they had 1800 Reposado at the bar, service there was great too (shout out to Cindy, our server last night!). High tables and booths available for seating, music was great, women's restroom could be kept a little cleaner. Definitely recommended, will be going back 👍

Been coming here for years, but this was my 1st time popping in, since COVID. Happy Hour drinks and prices are still awesome, but it's just not the same without the live music side. Not sure if that side opens up later in the day or not. If not, I hope that changes soon.

I always have such a good time here! Amber is my bartender, she is amazing! Always so attentive, her service and friendliness is top notch! I always look forward to seeing her when I walk in because I know she’s going to take care of my orders. The music is great and they layout here really lends itself to interact with new people. Thanks Amber for everything you do! See you soon!

This place is a fun place to go with friends or a company outing after work 😁. Plenty of space,activities, and good food. The lady behind the bar was very accommodating and fun.

This has to be the cheapest date night sans going to the park. Their drinks are priced decently for the area and there’s no cover. The bands are hit and miss but mostly good. It’s a fun place to end the night after dinner.

I came here on 2 occasions. Both times they only had 1 waiter waiting on everyone. This made service extremely slow and it felt like we had to wait a long time for refills on drinks. One time I got the chicken tenders and the other I tried the cod. Both were OKAY. What brought me back were the happy hour and the mimosa prices. We came on a Sunday and they had every game on which was nice. A nice chill place that feels familiar when you walk in.

Unfortunately, Sherlocks has closed and they've taken the sign down. There's a note from the owners on their website, under 'events'. Such a shame, I had a few great memories here.

I love this place, it's cozy, comfy and beautiful. The staff is helpful. This place is definitely chic and I would recommend this place any day. The are couple of games you can play like darts or pool. This place is a good place to watch soccer matches and a soccer fan would understand its value when you get a really good fans to watch a match together while drinking.

Spectacular Atmosphere. Very immersive. Always fun, and thankfully never too ridiculously crowded. With out a doubt my number one go-to place to grab a drink and catch up with friends. Also the music is incredible every time, and the variety of food and drink is to die for.

I hate your place because u are so racist With me and my friends just because we were talking in Spanish. Your empleoyees take us out and bring the police like we where climinals When we were just chilling out like other people around. Sherlock’s was my favorite place but now it’s so out for me! I hate it!!!!

I love the atmosphere, food and drinks. Not only that but the staff was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely recommend to friends and will come again!

Large place. The staff seems nice. The service is really slow. The bass is really loud to the point you can’t enjoy the band.

They have, surprisingly, damn good wings! The wait staff kind of sucks late night but the bar tenders rock and the food is good. I love the live music!

Had an amazing time last night for New Years Eve!! Our server was fantastic, she didn't miss a beat, even with the huge crowd! Management knows what they are doing and how to treat customers.. I will definitely be back!

Had a very great time. I would certsinly recommend for others to come out. Live band good performance. It does get crowded limit sitting get there by 9pm. We went on a Saturday night.

Great atmosphere. There was even karaoke with a live band - and it was on a Wednesday night. Great place to hang out with friends.

We walked in and were asked what we wanted to drink and then we waited . I watched people sit on the patio and wait and got up and left . I cannot understand the reason for the horrid service the restaurant was empty for a Saturday night at 7 , I went in and the bartender and I am assuming the MOD didn't even know who had the section. I was going to order an appetizer but he was starving and we just ordered , needless to say I had a liquid dinner and my mood was crappy at that point will I be back ? Probably not there are too many restaurants in that area to even bother

This has been one of my favorite places to go on Saturday nights for the past few years! The live bands are great, the drinks and food are good and reasonably priced. And the staff has always been pleasant. I have nothing bad to say about Sherlocks �

Our waitress was spread a bit thin but the drinks were good, food was excellent and a great place to hang out with friends after work.

Went Saturday night with my girl friend from out of town. Food was very good, beer was ice cold and the live music was excellent.

Awesome service. Beautiful girls. Up top waitress Liz And downstairs Charlotte. Good times with good friends.

Harassed at this bar last night by the female manager. She accused us of being rude to the bartenders......we never spoke to the bartenders. Asked us to leave.....so we gladly were heading out the door and she said I couldn't leave unless I left in her cab that she was going to call. Told her I use Uber and will not get in her cab. She said she was calling the Police.....we left. She followed us on foot all the way to the Social House. Police showed up and kindly let us go as this is pure and simply HARRASEMENT! Stay away!

I have been here very late at night several times and always have fun. Especially people watching :) But, one night my friend and I went there to eat and the food was amazing. I was not expecting it to be so delicious. One complaint- a bartender messed up our drinks one night and we tipped him anyway. We said we wanted vodka and redbull and a glass of water. He gave us vodka water. Yuck. We step back for maybe 3 minutes before realizing what it was and returned to the bar to buy a Redbull because we were going to drink the nasty vodka water since we are TOO nice and he says loudly "THANKS FOR THE HELP LADIES" and pointed to the tip jar! SERIOUSLY!??! I am glad I remember his face. That is all I am saying.

"British pub" is what they were trying for here and well it's definitely your standard bar with some "British" imagery thrown around like sherlock holmes silhouettes, union jacks, a bulldog bust etc. etc. It was extremely crowded, so I guess they're doing something right but to me it just seemed like a cheesy gimmick. The beer selection I heard was good so I went to check it out and not that good. They had all the standards and a few local craft brews but pretty basic selection. I will compliment their fish and chips, not necessarily the taste which wasn't bad, but the damn size! This fish filet was meaty indeed and yes was the ray of light in my experience. <br/>As always go there and judge it for yourself.

So last night I was a little late on dinner and we decided to head to Sherlock’s Baker Street Pub and Grill in Addison. I am usually not naming names when making points about hospitality but in this case it needs to be done, you’ll see in a second why.

White trash drunks. Losers abound, bouncers should join mma, so they think. Staff suited to and probably likes patrons. If you are low brow, you'll fit right in.

My Fav!. I have finally found a place with great food that you can smoke at! First time here was last night and can't believe I've never been here! Def recommend!

It's Ok. Nothing to write home about in my opinion. I will say, I thought the drinks were good, but the food was just ok. It wasn't outstanding for me. It wasn't bad either, just pretty much in-line with other places.

Nothing amazingly special but I had a good time. The fish and chips were very good.

Plain White T-Rule (let's talk about it). So last night I was a little late on dinner and we decided to head to Sherlock’s.<br/> <br/>I am wearing boots, jeans, and t-shirt. A white t-shirt, that is. Which, promptly, got me denied entry by the gruff looking and not very smart talking bouncer outside. At that moment I was so taken aback I didn’t retort or remember the details well enough to do so, but now that it all trickles back in it’s time to discuss this prohibition.<br/><br/>The “no white tee” rule originated in NYC in the mid-80s and spread into other larger cities, mostly through mindless mimicry until it ended in the mid-90s and only recently resurfaced in DC and Chicago. The official reason is somewhere between “no one wants a patron wearing a $2 Hanes Beefy” and “white t-shirts hurt the eye when worn in blacklight”. The true and much less official reason is much more sinister: racism. In the mid-80s NYC clubs found themselves staring down non-discrimination regulations for admission as well as a growing Latino population capable of shelling out the artificially high cover charges and bottle prices at the city’s more “exclusive” clubs. And just as in Texas, “exclusive” in NYC meant “rich and white”.<br/><br/>Owners reacted by adding dress codes that targeted predominantly Latino club-goers – chains had to be accepted, else the Italian-American and New Jersey crowd would revolt. Sneakers were “in” again, pointy boots were out, and white t-shirts as the favored garment of Puerto Rican and Cuban partiers went right onto the list of banned no-nos.<br/><br/>But these aren’t the 80s, it’s the 10s. We’re hopefully past all this. My t-shirt wasn’t a $2 Hanes, it was an Armani White. This isn’t NYC, it’s Addison, TX, population 13,000. The rule only catches males wearing white tees so the “it looks weird in blacklight” line is out. Plus this isn’t a freaking club, it’s a pseudo-British “gastro-”pub, about as British as Olive Garden is Italian. From the speakers blared not techno or house but the Ramones (yes, that band famous for its frontman, a certain Mr. Rotten, who started a whole trend of wearing white t-shirts in punk fashion).<br/><br/>Dress codes for chain-gastropubs in a 13,000 soul community are ridiculous. For that matter so are bouncers. Dress codes based on racial discrimination and backed by idiotic mimicry of a city of 6 million are more than that, they’re a sure sign of a diseased mind. You’re named after Sherlock Holmes, a fictional character known for his ability to deduce and reason. Nothing in this dress code says “reason” or “logic”. You’re a failure, Sherlock’s Pub and Grill, you totally are. This is 2013 – the economy is reeling and diners and drinkers are more discerning. Artificial exclusivity no longer works in NYC, how long until this trickles down into Addison, TX, pop 13,000?

Had a light dinner at Sherlock's Addison last night. Overall it was fair.<br/><br/>Start w kudos to our server, she was genuine and provided good service w/o being overly so.<br/><br/>I had new spinach and quinoa salad. Greens were fresh, quinoa was overly dry and wish there had been more of it in terms of serving portion. Also had a side of sautéed vegetables--the serving size was very very small. The veggies looked like they would have no flavor by appearance, but they did have a little. Clearly, though, the vegetables were clearly an afterthought to simply put on a coffee saucer dish. <br/><br/>Overall it was fair. Good service, food left some to be desired.

Fine for drinks, and food if you're drunk. Drinks are decently strong and inexpensive. Food is always a hassle and takes forever.

Maybe another time.. Man i went there a couple weeks ago on a slow day. The food was alright. The service, horrible. and where was management? I know everyone has bad days, so maybe I'll try them another time.
