Sonic Drive-in

Food was horrible! Chicken slinger tasted like it was hours old sitting under the heat lamp. Bun was hard as a rock. Pickle fries were so over done there was no pickle just salty breading! The difference in food quality amongst all Sonic's in Abilene, TX is ridiculous. They should all taste the same. But they do not! Best thing to do if you go to an Abilene Sonic is just get a drink. Nothing else is worth it.

It’s amazing how complicated shakes are to these people. Ive read the menu word For word 3 times now and they have gotten my order wrong on 3 separate visits. A small Reese’s peanut butter shake wAs one order. I also had to dumb down my other order so that hopefully it couldn’t be messed up, I used to say a chocolate Oreo shake but it’s super important you go slow and ask for a chocolate shake, made with Oreos in it. But I feel bad for single out this sonic because they seem to F at least one order up at every location and I can promise you it’s not me I’m super patient and I try to make it as easy as possible, yesterday was the straw that broke the review camels back and i had to inquire on here.

Sonic is good when you're in a hurry the food is not spectacular, but it is satisfying. You can always grab a deal. CarHop happy hour from 2 to 5. I also have the brown bag special. It's affordable and you can feed everyone in your family from children to adults. You can satisfy your cravings of greasy food to their sweet drinks, ice cream for that sweet tooth. One good thing about Sonic is they're open early and open late. Try not to forget to leave a little tip for the car hops as you can see they work hard running from car to car trying to serve everyone at a fast pace! Be kind and courteous. Enjoy!!

This Sonic has been great up until our last 2 visits. One being tonight, 1/15/22. We ordered 2 large waters and after one drink in each we felt something like a sandy texture in our mouths. We dumped the waters out to find some sort of yellow substance at the bottom. (See pics below). The visit before last we ordered a blast, unfortunately I didn’t take a picture thinking it was a fluke incident, but it seemed to be a piece of dirty paper towel that ended up in the blast. Luckily it wasn’t swallowed. I’m not sure if this is negligence or intentional but either way it should be resolved immediately. Sadly I can no longer trust this place as a safe place to eat or even simply get water from. Service has always been great but the quality and safety of even the water is now very concerning. I am posting this for people who continue to go so that they are aware and can look out for these sort of things. The last thing anyone needs is to become ill because of a water they ordered from sonic...

Thank goodness I took the bun off of my hamburger..I found two tiny pieces of lettuce and a slice of tomatoe that should have been thrown away. Not worth the money.Next time I will take a photo of it and post it. No, I won't complain in person and let you refix my sandwich when it should be fix correctly the first time. It's not rocket science.Why doesn't my hamburger ever look like the photos on your screen.
