This place is as authentic as going to someone’s home in Thailand and eating with the family. I was so shocked to find that literally Ann is in the kitchen cooking everything fresh from scratch! The staff Ou was very friendly and knew a lot of the regulars coming though. My mom and I decided to give this place a try since it’s the only Thai restaurant in town that has dine-in. We will definitely be coming back here!

I've tried a lot of different Thai restaurants, but Ann's Thai Kitchen is by far the best I've ever had! I absolutely love the red vegetable curry with no napa cabbage!!!

The food itself was actually very good. Tried to order but was told it wasn't available, tried again not available. Understood short staffed but was told to order something with less prep time without clarification of what those dishes were. I kept on guessing until I got one. But overall food was delicious

We saw the high rating on Google and decided to try it out. When we got there we thought it was closed but we soon saw that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. The outside wasn't inviting but the inside was more warm and inviting then we thought it ever could be from the outside.
The food and the service from our server Ooo were excellent on both our first and second visit. Ooo greeted us personally by name when we returned the 2nd time. Matter of fact doing this review makes me wish I went back earlier today. They closed at 3. Dang! Well anyway I enjoyed the Crazy Noodles on my first visit and the second time he remembered I prefer vegetables so he recommended the curry that stays with a P which was creamy and comforting. Give it a try if you you like authentic Thai food you won't regret it and I noticed they have a lot of regulars, which I'm glad to join the regular club. 😉

Soul Food restaurant that I totally recommend! We been here several times and they never disappoint us. Food is authentic Thai and consistent. Everything on the menu is awesome, and has different taste and spices. Person serving is O is always very professional, friendly and pleasant. He always remembers your name when you walk in.

My favorite place to eat in abilene! The owners are both super sweet, and very friendly! My go to dish is their Tom Kha. Very rich and perfectly seasoned, with varying levels of heat available. All of the curries are amazing as well; especially the Panang Curry!

One of the best mom and pop restaurants. Beef Jungle Curry! Next to Thai beef salad, the Jungle curry is Awesome! I crave this dish all the time! Ann is such a wonderful lady too. She makes me feel like a long lost family member that she can't wait to share her food with.

Ok taste child size portions. Portion sizes are extremely small for the prices they charge. Paid 11 dollars for two scoops of rice (not exageration) taste was ok not fantastic.

Love it!. A friend took me to Ann's for lunch one day and I have loved it ever since! I wasn't sure since it appears to be a hole in the wall kind of place, but inside is nicely done. Clean and very friendly. I have dined in and done take out. Both are quick and easy- I love the yellow curry with chicken and the pad thai. Great prices Great service Great food

Forgettable. I love thai fried rice and everywhere I have gotten it has been super fresh and customizable like adding more veggies I was told their veggies come premixed and the assortment was boring. No tomato no bean sprouts boring. decent tasting. Quiet restaurant may eat again

Nice change from beef-n-fries. Ate lunch at ATK with co-workers. Two are regular ATK customers of panang chicken. I tried the Pad Nam Prik Pao with tofu and rice. Very good, somewhat like a vegetable stew with a sweet curry flavor. Will definitely make a return visit. (In fact, I'd recommend taking 2-3 adventurous diners to share a variety of dishes). $12 tab, including tip.

MY FAVORITE ABILENE RESTAURANT!. Ann's is by far my favorite place in Abilene to eat! We have been dining with Ann for about 10 years. Years ago she was over on Treadaway & we have watched her business grow. One thing that really impresses me about Ann is her kitchen. It is absolutely spotless! I believe that she is quite the perfectionist. She uses lots of fresh herbs & her food is YUMMY!!!! It's not the fanciest place in town but very comfortable. Love, Love, Love It!!!!!!

Pad Thai was extremely greasy, tofu was also not very fresh, only thing good was the hot tea, which relaxed me after Ann came out to argue that she wasn't going to make a dish she served with chicken.

Hands down the best Thai food I have ever had. Panang chicken is excellent, as are all the curry dishes. Garlic pork is also great. Ann uses only fresh spices for her dishes (sweet basil, lime kaffir leaves, etc), and will even tell you not to order a particular dish if she doesn't think the spices are fresh enough for the dish to be at its best. Everyone I have ever brought here has become hooked immediately. If you like to sample foreign cuisine, you absolutely must try this restaurant! If you don't like foreign food, try it anyway!

This is in my opinion the best place to eat Abilene, especially if you don't have the taste buds of a child. Most of Abilene's restaurants are either chains or typical American food. This is one o the more interesting establishments and one of the most delicious.

Excellent!. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is really nice and clean and the food was great! We got the Pad Thai with tofu and the red curry with tofu. The pad thai was the best I've ever had. The spiciness is very americanized/toned down. We ordered our curry hot and it was just right. This is clearly a family business and it shows in the quality of food and service. The cook even came out and talked to us about our food and her recent trip to Thailand to buy the dishes we ate from. The menu is much more extensive than in the photo here. I would have taken a picture of it but it was about 10 pages long. We also had the sticky rice bars and they were very good as well. My husband and I are already looking forward to going back and trying some more of Ann's food.

I seriously have never had more delicious food. I've been a frequent (at least once a week) for about two years now. They are very, very nice people! I'm actually friends with most of the people that work there now. :) very clean, BEAUTIFUL interior. Don't let the outward appearance deter you, especially if you're a fan of Buddhist art! Unfortunately, they have been desperately seeking waitresses for a long time! Up until a few months ago, there was only one working, and Ann's kids had to help out a lot. They had a few bad run-ins with new employees... Some of them had not-so-great work ethic.. That might be where that one bad review came from. However, I know for a fact that all of the people working there now are great. :) Like I said, delicious food! Good suggestions for beginners are the pad thai (which is very light, not greasy and heavy like so many other restaurants), the creamy panang, red, and green curries, the very hearty yellow curry (which is a good place to start for people who are fans of stew), and the masman curry (which is very similar to the yellow curry). Don't be afraid to try new things! If you don't like tofu, try it here anyway. I've never encountered anyone who cooks tofu like Ann. If you're terrified of strange-colored food, try the thai tea anyway. It's amazing and very unique! If it's availible, the sticky rice with mango is fantastic. Again, the interior is beautiful, and very clean. It's quiet, but not awkward-quiet. There are restrooms available to customers. The dishes are very pretty, too! This place is great for casual outings as well as formal occasions. I feel entirely comfortable eating in jeans and a Tshirt, but I wouldn't hesitate to come here dressed up after a nice date. Try this place, it is ABSOLUTELY worth it!

Great food. Had one the.... Great food. Had one of the curries before and tried the spicy fried rice with shrimp tonight. Thai spicy and very good. Lousy customer experience. No changes to an entree - sorry if you wanted fried rice with that garlic chicken. Get a fried rice dish. Joining friends but already ate? $5 service charge just for not ordering an entree. Oh and keep your feet out of the booth. I'd eat there if I was really craving Thai food but could never make it a regular stop. A little ridiculous...

It doesn't get any better in Abilene than Ann's. Get any curry dish. You will not be sorry. In my opinion, superior to Bankok Thai, hands down.

Great little restaurant.. My absolute favorite restaurant in Abilene. They are always patient when I need explaining on the different foods and Ann always comes around and greats us. The Pad Thai is my favorite on the menu. The menu changes a lot though. The only thing bad about it is that there isn't a lot of tables and they have short hours.

Very customer UNFRIENDLY. The food was nothing exceptional - just plain ordinary.<br/>But the lady who took my carry-out order was REAL UNFRIENDLY. Since, I did not know what the strange names contained, I asked her and after two items SHE STARTED GETTING REAL IMPATIENT AND GRUFFY. Then she said "OK, take your time to decide" in a very rough way, and went somewhere else. Not the way you treat a first time customer. While I was waiting, other customers came in who seemed to be regulars, and was real nice with them.For a first time customer, I was very disappointed by the behavior and the food. Not going back - most likely. Ma'am, you've JUST LOST A CUSTOMER. But you may not care ...

Wonderful. Easily the best restaurant in Abilene. The current top rated restaurants fall short compared to the curry at Ann Thai. I've spent quite a bit of time in Japan, so the local Japanese restaurants (which are run by Chinese and Korean families) don't really give an authentic experience. And honestly, steak is pretty much steak when it's from Texas Roadhouse. It's not terribly gourmet. My one warning about Ann Thai is that they tend to give a hassle about sharing entrees, trying to get every party member to order at least $5 worth of non-shared food. Otherwise, you're in for a treat!

Love It!. Anns is awesome! Compared to other big city, big price Thai food restaurants, Anns holds it's own. I was impressed Abilene had such fine Thai cuisine. The curry chicken is the best!
