My wife and I and our two kids came to TX Roadhouse the last time a few months ago the service was nit great and the food was mediocre at best. We decided to give TX Roadhouse another shot.
The waitress didnt know a lot 9f things, they were Out of half dozen beer types. Out of lettuce, Out of mayo, and who knows what else they were Out of. My wife and I ordered medium cooked steak we got well done. I asked the waitress to bring me any beer except the Boston lager and what did I get? If you guessed Boston Lager you are correct!
I can go on and on about everything that was bad but this should give you an idea.
Bottom line... this used to he a good restaurant but it just been going down hill...needless to say, we will not be back here.

I’ll start off by saying, I am a huge TXRH fan. From The Colony, TX, to Kissimmee, FL & Lubbock, TX. I love the brand. Service was slow. It seemed like the kitchen was backed up, which is understandable! That place was packed! Got my Killer Ribs app after 25 minutes of waiting finally, and decided to just get my entree togo. That took just as long unfortunately, but it was all good, I expected my food to be absolutely delicious - so it was worth the wait, ya know? Well it wasn’t. I get back to my hotel, and I find that the salmon is hard, hardly seasoned, and dry. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were sitting in a burnt well for too long, and the lettuce for my Caesar salad was beginning to wilt/redden. During my visit, I found out they no longer carry peanuts at this location. Strange, because Lubbock’s TXRH offers bags of peanuts, and even though they are complimentary there, I never mind paying for them. Just a highly unsatisfying visit overall. Paid $30 + tip, and all I had to eat was half of the side Caesar salad and the Killer Ribs app. Bartender was nice at least and got me a togo Dr.Pepper and a box for my bread.

Texas Roadhouse has wonderful food and service. My family took me here for Mother's Day and naturally there was a very long wait since it was a holiday. While waiting, it allowed us to watch how they make their amazing homemade rolls. They have a case of raw steaks and let you select your own steak by labeling it and cook it to perfection. I ordered Prime Rib which I have to admit was overcooked and very dry. I have never sent back a steak so I reluctantly told the waiter who called his manager. She agreed right away and they brought me back the most amazing Prime Rib with horseradish sauce and I was one happy camper. Everyone one of us enjoyed our steaks and were very happy with the food and service. Highly recommend eating here when in Abilene.

This was based on a 'curbside' experience on a Saturday night which I understand is busy, but that's also when staff should be on their A game. I ordered a Cactus Blossom, 12oz Ribeye with Baked Potato topped with butter and sour cream, House Salad with bacon and extra ranch. Also a side of grilled onions and a sweet tea. The most enjoyable part of the meal was the Cactus blossom and the sweet tea. Rolls were tough. Steak while I understand has a lot of marbled fat in it, it was hard to cut when I ordered it medium (this one should have been for a well done steak because the fat would have melted more). The baked potato undercooked and cold. Salad didn't have the bacon bits I paid extra for, nor the extra ranch. The salad also was most white stems of the lettuce which I personally can't stand. I also didn't get the silverware that I asked for as well. I don't understand how this was supposed to be curbside when the app didn't ask for vehicle info, or the text and/or app ask for the parking spot number for when I got there to pick up my order. Next time I want a steak, I think I'll just come inside seems to be great service there.

Best meal I have had in a very long time! Ribs were the best I've ever eaten. Service was great. Prices were reasonable. The only reason I didn't rate as five stars is the ambient noise. The crowd noise plus the music are not conducive to a pleasant dinner.

For a group of 7, we were seated quickly. Staff members were courteous and polite. One staff member who was off duty, stayed and took our drink orders and made sure we were taken care of by a new staff member before she went home. Great atmosphere and Great food!

Came here for our anniversary. A great ribeye on the bone and we were able to pick it out ourselves. Fun and yum!
Update.. Decided to try the sirloin out today.. Delicious!

By far one of the better chain Steak Houses to eat at. This one had great service, friendly host, and the food was perfect. Food comparison with price has always been on par with anything else.... the only exception.... I have never had a bad meal at any one of the TX Roadhouse establishments. Head there anytime after 5:30 and you might wait a little while!! Good luck and enjoy!!
