Good food, good service, great prices. Local hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant- the best in Zephyrhills IMO. Menu has a good selection of offerings. The servers are friendly. Only negative and not the fault of the restaurant- a neighborhood crackhead was in the next booth and she was loud and obnoxious. Used her outside voice the entire time she was there. The restaurant was full, yet she was the only noise you could hear. Drugs bad. Mexican food good.
I have tried three Mexican Restaurants in the immediate area. Two of the Restaurants had fancier decor but the overall quality of the food wasn’t better. We always find the chips and salsa here better. Los Chicos offers hot and mild salsa, with no choice at the others. The food here is definitely fresh and hot and the orders come out quickly. This Restaurant offers discounts for cash. I have eaten at Los Chico’s over two dozen times and with the exception of once, found the food very tasty with good quality. I especially like that they offer unseasoned ground beef. I usually ask for the red ranchero sauce because the brown sauce is a little strong and overwhelms the dish. The only criticism I have is the Margarita is from a mix and I recommend order a beer with a chilled glass. This is a good Restaurant!
Quaint "hole in the wall" joint inside but a full deck out back. Stopped in coming back from the Renaissance Faire. I enjoyed the enchiladas with chicken and their beans and rice were the best I've had right now, beat out another joint I venture! I'm not sure what sauce was on the enchiladas but it was deliciously sweet and wanted more! Will definitely be coming back.
