Gem of a find in Joshua Tree. Excellent fresh sushi. The waiter says the sound was enough for two and he wasn't kidding! No shortage of Sashimi in the salad. The shasito peppers were some of the tastiest I've had.

Today I stopped by here and bought a shogun combo for Togo. It came with some rolls and 8pc sushi. It was incredible, very well priced, big portion, I couldn’t finish it. Definitely comeback and try other combos too.

Aki Sushi is on the family's top list! In the Morongo Valley area, good food is hard to find, and good sushi is even harder to find. Nevertheless, this is our birthday spot. Although it can be on the expensive side, the food is plentiful and good.

I have been coming here since they have opened. They have always been very nice and the food is great. Only place that has been at this location and has lasted ( if you know you know). I am giving them 4 stars because every single time I order online it is always way longer than anticipated. They will say 25 minutes and it turns into 45-60 minutes. I will go in to get my food and it's not ready so I'll wait, and wait, and wait. Until I come up a second time inquiring about my food and then suddenly it's ready 2 minutes later. Only sushi place in town and I get they are busy, but 45-60 minutes later your online order will be ready?

We tried baked lobster roll and crunchy dragon roll, both are really good! We also ordered combo with 3 mains (chicken karaage, teriyaki beef, and pork katsu), it just tasted so so. But overall, it's really a decent sushi place near the area.

Seems a very popular Sushi style restaurant in the Yucca Valley. It was busy for two straight nights, however the second night service was relatively fast. Both night we tried sushi rolls, and depending upon what roll you chose the taste varies significantly. Some are excellent, some are not so much. The rolls are large enough. A great choice if you are visiting Joshua Tree National Park and staying close to Twentynine Palms.

It was my first authentic Japanese cuisine experience, yet I think they deserve excellent ratings. the food and service impressed me. Vegan options were available which was the sole reason I chose to dine in here.

This restaurant is popular & busy for good reason. Staff is friendly & accommodating. The Bento plates we had and desserts were beautiful, hot, made with fresh ingredients. It does a lot of take-out business as well as dine in. I don't eat raw fish but the platters of sushi & sashimi we saw *looked* lovely.

Everything we ordered was good. Went for lunch on a Tuesday. It wasn't busy. Waited on us quickly, but the food took a while to get, so don't go hungry. Portions are not large, probably standard for a sushi establishment. So don't go if you're very hungry.

Sushi is tricky when you're traveling because you want to make sure you find a reliable place you won't get sick. Aki had great reviews. I ordered take out of 4 specialty rolls. They were all delicious. The rolls were large and I only should have ordered 3. I definitely recommend.

Top menu favorites, Yaya Roll, Spicy Tuna Tempura, Sashimi Salad (fresh never fishy), Calamari Tempura Roll (not overcooked) staff is friendly, on busy nights wait is a bit long. Overall the best dine in sushi restaurant in Yucca Valley.

The Sushi is very very good! Presentation too!! Bravo! I would have been 5 stars but.. we also bought two other dishes with overcooked noodles for 17$ each (one seafood, one meat) and they tasted boring, not like any different fresh spices were used. Also the white rice is not a great brand I assume, had a stale aftertaste. I’ll be be back for the Sushi though!

Sushi rolls are the specialty at Aki Sushi. Crunchy dragon roll, the name speaks for itself, very crunchy. It's a little bit too large. Double yellow tail roll, the lemon added a touch of fresh taste.
