Best room in the desert for acoustic music. Great food, cool staff. Love the place!
What an awesome place :)
The Cuban pork sandwich was on point, and the avocado on toast was out of control (seriously one of the tastier things I've had)
Tofu banh-mi tasted like banh-mi, but tofu isn't my thing - also if you get it, ask them to toast the French roll (it'll taste better imo)
Coffee - great
Go here!!!
What a great place to get a coffee and a bite to eat! The avocado tartine was amazing and my husband declared his BLT as the best he's ever had. A very cool cafe.
this place is a real find, casual unassuming place with creative food that is over the top....I'll be back!
Love the Jive Turkey sandwich and the folks who work here are awesome! Great vibe and the Thursday night open mic is off the hook! Love it❤️
Excellent fresh, tasty and healthy food, and great desserts and coffee!!! Thank goodness we have this place to eat in the high desert.
The best little cup of Expresso this side of the Mississippi.

I love this place! The coffee tastes great, their lemon bars are awesome and they have a very friendly staff!
It's beyond 5 star I give it a 10+, it's just an awesome environment
Delicious food at good price, nice music and ambiance! Very kind and prompt service! Perfect!!
I don't know what happened but since they re-opened but now everyone is always in a fun, playful mood there, the food is unique and on-point and the coffee.... oh, the coffee!
Frontier Café is a hidden gem. My cappuccino there was fantastic – rich coffee flavor, creamy foam. The cozy ambiance is perfect for relaxing with a great cup of coffee. Friendly service, too. I've also tried chicken salad sandwich from their special menu, and it was delicious! The menu could use more variety, but I'll definitely be back for the coffee and atmosphere!
Note:
It’s a bit crowded over the weekend.
Positives- Delicious coffee & bagels. Pastries were good too, but not homemade. Atmosphere very welcoming & rustically charming. Extremely kind cashier. Indoor & outdoor seating available. Kids loved it just as much and the adults! Affordable pricing.
Considerations- none
Overall- wish we could have gone more than once to try out other foods and the array of drinks- coffee, alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks. Shirts were cool too- totally forgot to go back and buy one! Wish I had!
Best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had! Egg sandwich with bacon and avocado!! And they serve it all day. Wow! Really funky/cool vibe inside and fresh terrace outside to sit on.
5 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Today I’m visiting with my mom and she takes me to This cute cafe ☕️🥪 is very welcoming and cozy. My mom comes here almost everyday and I can see why the cafe patrons hanging out and the customer service when ordering your items. Also the barista “Annie” knows what she’s doin our drinks tasted perfect 🤩 there’s plenty of space and they even have an area. That’s kind of soothing with plants inside. There’s cool artwork on the wall and information about what’s going on in the community posted on their walls. They offer restrooms and they are tiny but clean 🧼 They have outside seating as well.
Like 👍🏻 my review and stop here for your next cup of coffee ☕️ or something to eat 🥪
What a cool restaurant! I got the Sunrise Salad. It was amazing! Greens, grains, cherry tomatoes, almonds, avocado, boiled egg and sprouts. Maybe the best salad I have ever eaten. The only problem,if you can call it that, was it was huge. I could not begin to eat it all. This place has a kicked back vibe.
Great fresh and tasty food. We came in with a group of 10 with most of us ordering a variety of dishes and we were all happy with the flavors and portion sizes. Only downside is the cost. For 4 of us for lunch, we spent $80 on food and non-alcoholic drinks. Def couldn't afford this everyday but great as an occasional dine out option!
This place is amazing. We had the sunrise salad, BLT, vegan BLT, and Green Dream. Big portions. The vegan BLT is as close to bacon as my wife has experienced. We also had the vegan potato salad and chick pea salad. Both were huge portions - like a grocery store pound of salad. Cute decor. Nice people. Eat here.
We stopped in to Pappy and Harriet’s Frontier Cafe for a quick lunch after hiking through Joshua Tree National Park.
It’s a unique little place that is about a 20 minute drive from the park entrance. It’s adjacent to a Western movie set that you can tour, or watch live stunt shows twice a month. (Check their website)
The restaurant is a local classic with rustic decor, and a menu that will satisfy almost all palates, including vegetarian choices!
It was really busy when we arrived, but the place is pretty large with lots of seating, so we were seated almost immediately.
Our server was very friendly and attentive.
We had a nice light lunch of a Kale Salad, guacamole/fresh salsa and a mountain of chips, and their amazing chili nachos. The nachos were unique in how they were prepared. We got the vegetarian chili, which was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of spice.
Prices are reasonable, too!
They have live music on a stage some nights, so check their website to see what sort of entertainment options might be scheduled.
A great place to stop when you are in the Joshua Tree Park area! We will most definitely go back again to try a few more things from their menu!
Great place to remote work! Very sweet workers willing to check for celiac safety protocols (beware the tempeh; they warned there could be cross contamination and I did get glutened). But just delicious food, and excellent vibe.
Wow...they had coconut milk for my latte!! It was pretty busy when five of us stopped for lunch. The kitchen delivered the food to our table in short order and it was SO GOOD! I've been here before for coffee but their food menu is creative and delicious!
Glad to see the parking lot in back is being completely redone....
