If you are tired and don’t know where to go after your heavy hike at Joshua Tree park, this friendly warm dining is your place to go. I like the American atmosphere and design a lot. The manager was really welcoming and friendly, we were a large group but they nicely host us very well. The food is delicious and fresh, signature is burger but if there is a great pasta with lemon flavor which you will love it. The wings are good but super spicy. The good thing is that this dine is on the road back to LA and feel safe

Diner 62 is a wonderful addition to the desert food scene. We are thirsty for quality food and 62 delivers. Everything we have had off of the smoker/grill has been great. Lots of flavor and fresh ingredients, well seasoned. Salad was fresh and there are some great dressing options. Menu, ingredients and execution are on point. There is so many tired and conventional bbq joints up here (official cuisine of the hi desert) but this is fresh and fun. Owners and staff were very friendly and have excellent service overall. The owners are really interested in making this place special and asked for our feedback and listened with the type of care that successful business owners do. We are frequenting this spot, and enjoy it every time.

The food was great! My grandson had the short ribs and fries, husband had pulled pork sandwich and potato salad and I had smoked chicken soap. All of it was wonderful! The staff was very friendly. I don't know why I waited so long to go, but I will definitely be back!

Today was my first visit after moving to the area. I was more than happy with the food and quantity. The point I wanted to make was there was a glitch on the timing of my meat selection coming off the smoker and was going to run long- no biggie. My son owns a well known BBQ establishment in Or and one thing I've observed from him is that you smoke your meats properly or not at all, so I wasn't bothered. BUT, everyone in the place went above and beyond to make sure I was not troubled and was happy with my experience- keeping in mind, I wasn't bothered in the first place. It was a remarkable experience and can't wait to return. One of the happiest crews I can remember in a long time! Nice job and thank you for the great service!

Stopped in for dinner after a drive through the park on a Sunday evening. The staff was delightful, answered all our questions, and made a delicious vegan friendly recommendation for my meal. If the oyster mushroom tacos are available when you visit, don’t hesitate. :) Our burger was perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy delicious. The pulled pork was well sauced and a great match to the potato salad. All of this and I haven’t yet mentioned the beautiful tables, perfectly sized for entertaining your whole group. Will definitely return for another meal, when I’m next visiting this area.

We were visiting nearby in Joshua Tree and stopped in for lunch at 11:30 but they were serving breakfast only and no lunch till 1:00pm. That was disaponting because the smoker outside was churning and it smelled so good! So...we left but said we are coming back for dinner and am I glad we did! On our visit they have just recently reopened so the decor was still under some construction but there was still plenty of seating on the picnic bench tables with great atmosphere. The open table and shared seating make for a great vibe. The staff is super nice, made great suggestions on menu items and the food came out quickly. There was a slight mixup on my order but they quickly...seriously...quickly took care of it and got us our food. Oh...food...yeah, thats probably why you are reading this. We ordered the chicken thighs with potato salad and the spare ribs (full rack!) and corn salad. The  chicken thighs were not bone in and were cut into pieces. They had a great smoke flavor, and still very moist and tender. The spare ribs in the full rack version was a huge portion. They had a great flavor and an amazing in house made BBQ sauce (which you can buy a bottle...which we did). I think they smoked them a bit too long as the ends were a bit burnt and the meat completely fell off the bones. I like mine to have a bit more bo6te to them but others prefer the fall off the bone method. Dont get me wrong, they were still very good and some of the best tasting I've had in a long time, just slightly left in the smoker too long (in my opinion). So overall I would give this place 5 stars all around. The food, the atmosphere and the staff are all excellent.  If you are driving through make a stop, if you are a local, support these guys.

I love the aesthetic of this diner! Waitress was so sweet and the food was devoured by my husband and me😂 definitely a good stop! Got two delicious burgers, fries, and drinks for less than $20! We’ve been in the desert for two years while my husband is stationed here and finally decided to try this place! 10/10 recommend it!

this place feels like home. Their rye bread is so delicious! They have everything you could want on their menu. Their coffee is fresh and always brewing. I’ll be stopping by every time I visit Joshua tree.
