Absolutely one of my favorite places for espresso.
The interior is meh, and I hear it's not managed well during busy hours, but those seem the main drawbacks. I can't say anything about their other drinks, but the espresso is very good!
I was serviced by a helpful man who offered a soda water chaser (great idea, by the way) and in a few short minutes, my friend and I had some delicious espresso.
The seating is cozy, but comfortable (especially on the couches!) I would have liked a coffee table before the couch to place my drinks on, but I managed.
Certainly will return.
Great coffee and food. The only complaint is they need more staff. The poor woman was running herself ragged trying to keep up with everyone after it got busy because she was the only one working. She did a fantastic job btw, but I could tell it was too much for one person and it did ramp up wait times a little bit. None of it was her fault though. Great ambiance and baked goods as well
It's my favorite coffee shop in town to hang out in. A true Ypsilanti landmark. Try the Rich French Neighbor pour over or their signature espresso milk shake.
These guys make excellent sandwiches. They make their own bagels!! The coffee is perfect. If you’re not in a rush (because often there’s only one person working), then give them a try. You’ll be back!
I've loved this place since it was first introduced to me by my ex in 2012. I liked it enough to superceed the association between the two!
Personal life aside, I'll say I adore it. It's simple, chill, and I THINK cozy. There's only been a couple awful baristas who were thankfully short-lived in their employment here. My experience with the crew has pretty much been amazing!
Foodwise, I highly enjoy it! But try it yourself, flavor is subjective. I like the coffee as well, but for me, it takes a back seat to the other things (just being honest).
Cheers.
Great coffee, great staff, great atmosphere. My office away from the office. Love coming in to sample what's fresh and to see the new art on the walls from a local artist. I appreciate how community-minded they all are. Often lively, but never overcrowded.
