When I stumbled upon a Moroccan restaurant, I drove out of my way to visit. Casablanca’s flavors were exactly as I remembered Moroccan to be—flavors that made me fall in love with their cuisine.
I started with harira soup, a vegetable soup with tomato broth base. Flavor was infused in every delectable bite. (And have no fear—this is mild flavor/spice, not hot spice.)
I followed it with a shish tawook, with couscous and grilled vegetables.
The grilled chicken was tender and flavorful. The couscous was light and perfectly done. The vegetables were a visual delight with vibrant colors and classic flavors.
The parking lot gave me pause, but I’m so thankful I stopped in. It’s a small restaurant, with only eight tables—but the interior was polished and well maintained. Bonus that my drink was served in actual glassware! Another good sign, they had a non-stop flow of pickup orders. Obviously the locals know the secret; this tiny restaurant packs spectacular taste in every bite.
Food is yummmmmy!
This is the appetizer platter. The falafel is soo good. We ordered the couscous with lamb and grilled chicken on rice. Beyond delicious. Very well marinated, tender and juicy. The least favorite was the soup (harira), it was a bit sweet for soup. We didn't try any drinks this time.
The bathroom was somehow clean but maybe the place and parking lot need a little bit maintenance?
Overall very good food and service.
Exceptional cuisine, dishes, plates and aroma. So delish. Love this staff. Happened upon it bored with food and go back now 2x a week. See people coming in for catering and understand why. Food is so fresh and MAGICAL. THE water they bring to the table is ice cold with no ice. And it is WORLDS BEST TABOULI EVER. GET SOME HOT SAUCE PASTE. Try the morocccan chicken and whatever you order you will be so pleased. It’s a happy belly experience all around!
My favorite restaurant in Washtenaw county. I send everyone I know here when they ask for a restaurant recommendation. All of the food is delicious, the staff is so kind. I absolutely love the Moroccan coffee they do as well. I can’t say enough nice things about this wonderful family business! A true gem in the community for sure.
It is a little overgrown on the outside but the inside is very cute and calming. The food is absolutely amazing. The portions are very generous and it is obvious how much the owners care. It is very authentic and well done. I feel very encouraged to try new foods here as I always enjoy the dishes even if it is something I have never heard of before. My personal favorites that I have tried thus far are the spiced carrots, chicken shawarma, and Bistilla. I can not recommend enough.
Don't pass this place by. Though small and unassuming (looks to be housed in an old Olé Taco building), the inside is clean, the staff very friendly, and the food delicious! We had the mixed shawarma plate with rice, bastilla, fresh lemonade with ginger, and baklava. Everything was exceptional! I had never had bastilla before. It's a sweet and savory surprise. The lemonade was refreshing (not too sweet). And the baklava was the perfect finish.
My first time eating Moroccan food. We ordered various plates and appetizers and everything was amazing. The waiter was extremely helpful. The bad thing is I forgot to take pictures of all the delicious plates.
Absolute amazing, the pastella as good as the ones I had back in Morocco. The tajin also is out of this world. By far best arabic food in the county
