Normally I am a Long Sands beachbum! However, during a stroll through the center with my Mom and granddaughter we stumbled upon this gem! I remember it as being just a little store, but Wowzers, when we walked through the door the aromas from the different foods smacked me right in the kissa! The variety of the snacks you can buy if you are a Short Sands beachbum is also out of this atmosphere! Another bonus was beer, wine, coolers, etc. They have everything and anything you need. I had a wicked awesome lobstah roll(yes, I am from Boston, my heart lives in York), we also had ordered a small cheese pizza because my granddaughter loves it, and my mom got a quesadilla. Every morsel of food is worth this 5 star recommendation! I now dont have to worry about where I am going to get a lobstah roll ever again!! The prices were great!! They have a few picnic tables to sit at after you order. We were blessed with a table and they even brought us our food after the counter order. If you can't get a table, there is plenty of beach seating on Short Sands. Just watch out for the gulls. With food this scrumptious, they won't wait for you to sit down!
This place is absolutely amazing! My family and I just went to York on vacation as we have for many years and discovered this gem! Not only did we find everything we needed, but the staff was overly accommodating. The owner, Tate came through with every request I had from a good local IPA to diapers for my youngest. We had pizza here one night for dinner and we were able to get everything else we needed for our trip! A definite go to spot for those vacationing in or near York Beach!
The owner of beach bucket just provided free pizza to a wedding party, as a local member of the community. Pizza was awesome, but supporting a selfless business owner is also totally worth it. Absolutely recommend the place.
The Beach Bucket is a wonderful addition to York Beach! It's a convenience store with flare! Very cool looking, well designed, great staff and the best pizza I've had in years. Hats off and thanks to owners Erin and Tate for turning a horrid eyesore into a dream! Love it 😍
This is a great place with amazing people running it & working there!! Tried a small cheese pizza last weekend & it was great. BUT this weekend we ordered 2 pizzas, Hawaiian & Meatball, both delicious! My husband is a pizza snob and he said it's his new favorite, go to pizza for when we come up! They are awesome & open but new & still working out the kinks. You won't be sorry if you stop in. I can't wait to try the sandwiches and the gelato looks like heaven! Thanks!! See you next weekend!
This store is incredible! We loved the pizza and the gelato is amazing. A huge selection of beer and wine. My daughter left with some really cute beach toys. It's a one stop shop for a great day at the beach!
Stopped into this lovely store...very well stocked with a variety of reasonably priced items. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pizza and gelato are fantastic! I will be back!!
Love the York Beach Bucket! It is a refreshing addition to downtown York!! Love that you can get something to eat that is fresh, local and healthy. And there is a nice selection of craft beer to chose from! And the kids loved the huge cinnamon buns!
Got to go in tonight to meet the owners and grab a pizza in 10 minutes!! The sauce had chunks of tomato and the pizza was delicious!
The owners did a fabulous job in renovations of this place. It is bright, cheerful and welcoming. The new tables on the deck allow patrons to eat their food while people watching across from short sands beach. Their salads were made fresh on the premises and were very tasty!!!
One of our favorite stops in Maine! Grabbed a delicious latte here at the Beach Bucket, and walked across the street to short sands beach this morning. I love this hip new place Erin is running!
This is a new face at York beach and so far so good. Love the people and the gelato is amazing.
Place looks amazing, love the buffalo chicken pasta salad great location friendly people one of my favorite spots to stop when at the beach.

Went in this weekend twice - got pizza to go and sauce was excellent! Owners are so nice and have done an amazing job with the store. Looking forward to see what it's like on my next visit. Good luck!
Customer service at its finest! Owners took the time to meet and greet customers, talk to them and share their dreams of a fabulous store!!!! We root you on for success! And not to mention the pizza was FABULOUS !
Great place!! Clean bright and friendly staff!! Just needs to open a little earlier (like 6am) they don't open till 7.

This is one of our new favorite spots in Short Sands. It's clean, the staff is friendly, and it really is CONVENIENT! They carry those things that you forgot to pack, but not just brands to "get by" - they carry plenty of natural and organic options. Is it pricey - yes - but you are paying for the convenience, just like anywhere else - except there are actually great OPTIONS compared to other convenience places! They carry beer, wine, gelato, toys, sunblock, beach blankets, pasta and potato salads, grocery items like milk, pasta, etc, sandwiches and THE MOST AMAZING PIZZA. Seriously. We've gotten it twice this week. #cantstopwontstop
The pizza is amazing. The store is quaint and yet has a little of everything. They even brought my pizza outside to me where I was taking in the great views of this cool location.
Great place to get lunch while at the beach. Sandwiches are great, lots of drinks options, chips and ice cream!
I was there with friends for a beach lunch and the staff were super nice. I went to buy some candy in the candy section and was missing 25 cents, the guy at the register told me not to worry about it.
We stayed a couple of days at the hotel next door and were looking for a coffee store. The guys made me a great coffee with a caramel shot and a bacon & egg bagel. I loved the hospitality and the laid back vibe. We're from NC and York Beach reminded me of the my childhood trips to Myrtle Beach.
My favorite is the Smoothie Operator! Amazing good hearty smoothies!!! Friendly staff

Great service and wonderful gelato options! I love how it's right near the town and is open past 8PM. The guy who served us was super friendly and had great vibes. I will definitely coming back to the Beach Buket next time I'm in york :)
Service and selection are awesome for a small store. Food is delicious! Downfall prices are very high
Always on the hunt for the best pizza around, we've found it here for the York area. Awesome red sauce and specialty slices too! Good local gelato, great pre-made selection, and good size craft beer selection too. Definitely adding this as one of our weekly local spots!
EXCELLENT place with prepared foods.. Try the dill pasta salad yummy. Great selection of sandwich, salad, pasta salads, alcohol, snacks and the list goes on.. Go check it out you won't be disappointed. Stock up for ur room or camp. Some things are pricey but worth it.These employee's work very hard to please you it's very clean and organized well. Food here is PHENOMENAL! it's all take out.. It's basically a fancy convenience store.
Great little store that has all the essentials! Food and alcohol! Plus toiletries if you forgot anything when packing! Staff very friendly!
