Review Ya Hala Restaurant - Yonkers

A very beautiful restuarant with some parking space in the back and archs and murals inside. Spacious seating. The portions are a little small for the price. The taste is there. The veil special tasted like bengali kashimanksho thorkari. Aesthetics make this a nice date spot.

This place……. All I have is one word to say…… AMAZING BATHROOM = CLEAN DINNING AREA: CLEAN KITCHEN = IM SURE ITS PRETTY DAMN CLEAN TOO! The entire staff and hospitality the warm comforting meal i devoured (with leftovers).. Seriously everything is amazing and this IS WHAT YONKERS NEEDED. Since this place has been around since 1995. I can finally see why it is still in business. I dined in last night (October 5th) because I was craving a burrito and I was celebrating a special occasion. I was walking home with my homie and I came across this beautiful place. I ordered the lamb special which was I believe a daily special, the presentation FLAWLESS, the tenderness!!! Crazy, everything was just flavorful! Now first remember this YONKERS has quite the reputation, but DO NOT LET IT STEER YOU AWAY FROM the locals! The locals delicacy. Take time! Give any new local restaurants a shot! The grill house staff are definitely putting a lot of love and professionalism into their business serving Westchester County for many years even through Yonkers crazy reputation! Do not let it fool you. This to me was a hidden gem or maybe I was living under a rock. Grill house… is amazing. I thank you for letting me dine in. I will be back for sure. Immediately. Please support the locals!

The Best Middle Eastern Restaurant not only in Yonkers, but the greater NYC Metropolitan Region. The food quality and taste are just outstanding. Very high cleanliness standards. The restaurant went through a recent renovation and looks amazing! Very reasonable prices for the quality of food. Highly recommend. You may want to try the daily special dish for a surprise to your taste buds.

Excellent food. Chicken Kebab was well seasoned, tender and juicy. Waiter Eduardo was attentive. Food was fresh and delicious. Best Hummus and Falafel.

Superb service! The front of the house staff was very approachable, attentive, kind, and took the time to explain the whole menu. The whole restaurant was clean and well-lit, especially the restroom. I recommend the Qudsia and falafel as they were done well.

My friends took me here for my birthday brunch and Im glad they chose this spot. Initially I thought the food was gonna be pretty similar to the usual mediterranean food, but this was something else. This spot had of the best meditarranean dishes I have tasted. The freshness stands out right away and the flavor is high quality. The service is quick and environment is clean and nice

I ate at the Grill House for the first time today. The Atmosphere was clean, well kept and joyful. The service was great. The guy at the counter was very professional with a nice demeanor. He also had no trouble explaining my options to me. As for the food it was amazing! This was some of the best falafel I've had in NY. It was tasty crispy and had the right amount of Tahini sauce. I will definitely come back to this place again. The prices were just right.

I needed to order early food since i had visitors in my home was there at 10 place my order they make everything fresh which i love especially if you like to have fresh Hummus or babaganus this is a great place to get it. They are so nice here always. Hope you Enjoy and don't forget to ask for the special of the day like today was mix vegetables with eggplant in a spicy sauce 😋.

Food was amazing! We had Falafel, Hummus, Tabouleh Salad, Fried Kibbeh, Cucumber/Yogurt Salad, Arabic Salad, Tahini Salad, with some pistachio baklava. Fresh ingredients and perfect presentation even for take out! This place was recently renovated with modern and welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely add to my weekly list.

The person who took my order was nice. I asked for extra falafels which were extra, but it’s worth it. The falafels were good. I had some tabouli with babaganouj and humus as well with pistachio baklava. I liked everything I had. I will come back again.

I've been coming to Grill House (formerly known as Ya Hala) Restaurant for 8 years. Thadi was my go to guy however he no longer works there the new crew is legit (ask for Amgie) , respectful, accommodating and will treat you right. You order Grill House Platter Large (fresh seasoned fire grilled lamb, chicken, and beef over a bed of seasoned Basmati Rice comes with fite grilled and slouched onion and tomato, fresh and warm pita bread and zesty salad. Also order Falafel (always fresh and hot) . Grill House is providing high quality middle Eastern cuisine for very generous prices. People of all ethnicities dine here and the dining area (from the smell of the food to the decor) makes you feel you have taken a lunch break in the middle east, very upscale, cozy, and warm/ receptive atmosphere. I endorse Grill House 100% , they have a grocery store directly next to the restaurant that is equally impressive in terms of variety, inventory and service.

This is the best Jordanian/ Palestinian cuisine in NY. Authentic tasty dishes and real hummus. Breakfast pastries are fabulous. Amazing friendly staff.

We normally go to Paterson for this cuisine but saw this on Google and decided to check it out. Great food solid portions and saved the toll of going to NJ. I would have probably went much sooner if it had a more traditional Arabic sounding name. Like al basha, al "fill in the blank" followed by grill house.

My lart had the following Falafel- nice when straight out of the fryer. Doesn't have much flavor of it's so needs the sauce. Kebeeh- delicious. This is a nice dinner by itself. Comes with a salad. The meat inside is so juicy and flavorful. Yellow rice with lamb- delicious jasmine rice with fork tender lamb. Beautifully spiced but can be enhanced with the white and/or red sauce. Beef shawarma- good rice, and nicely spiced meat. Comes with a salad. Tastes good on pita bread but it is good on its own Grape leaves and kusa- very good. The stuffed squash tastes good. The grape leaves are very good. We had it with lamb this time, but the chicken is almost as good. Baba ghannoush- lovely with the pita bread for dipping. Leftovers are good for breakfast the next day. Pistachio Baklava- crispy layers with ground pistachio and a lightly sweet syrup

MY FAVORITE MEATLESS DISH. Everything hs fresh, well made and delicious. I frequent here. Highly recommended.

Eventhough the food was surprisingly average One thing I have to say, services was fully from the heart from these guys. Medium 3* Restaurant but service made it a 4* review. We had the Lamb Neck over rice which was decent size and tender tasty meat on very dry tasteless rice but overall we enjoyed it. The lamb ribs were overcooked dry and accompanied with the cheapest flavored kind fries and mixed salad both has nothing to do with Mediterranean food. Deserts were yummi, we had Al-Lubnan which is kind of Malabi and Pink Knafe together with strong Arabic coffee. Restaurant was almost empty for our full stay but there were several deliveries pickups.
