Birchfield Manor Country Inn

I really wanted to like this place and looked forward to the experience. However items listed on their website were not available. Prices per plate were $15-20 over what was listed on their website. My $79.99 steak was dry and overcooked. When I contacted them about these issues I was originally offered a full refund. I declined this and asked for a partial refund (less than a third for the total price for two of us, basically bringing it into line with what I had expected to pay per their website). I was advised this would happen. That was a couple of weeks ago, no response. I do not plan to go back and advise others to do their homework..

My fiance and I stayed in the Allison room. The room was off to the side which we liked. More private. On the website, they offered plush robes, which we did not get. The room didn't have an refrigerator, nor had an ice machine anywhere, so we have to bring up a ice chest. The amenities they offered, shampoo/conditioner, coffee, etc should have been a higher quality for the amount we paid and for the elegant experience we were hoping for that they were protraying. The coffee filters they provided didn't fit the coffee maker they had in the room. On a card in the room, it states each room comes with a makeup remover and a black towel to take off makeup. Our room did not have this. The WORST of it all, was the water! The water had a very very strong sulfer, rotten egg smell. We opted out of showering. We decided we could not fathom the water smell, so we went home in the morning to shower. The jetted tub was nice, however we couldn't enjoy it because of the water smell. On top of that, the water softener they use, it made our skin feel dindgy and dirty. The breakfast. They put together all the tables, so we had to sit next to strangers. We wanted our own table to enjoy each other or breakfast brought to our rooms. The breakfast was scramble eggs with marinara and ham (called frittata), with a small offering of fruit. I didn't enjoy it. I don't like ham. We should have had an two offers to chose from. What if I was vegan? Overall, 3.5/5.

Very enjoyable and comfortable! Would definitely stay again. My ONLY complaint was that we were served a large pot of wonderful smelling hot coffee with a delicious breakfast, but no cream (or sugar) for the coffee. It was such a bummer to both waste it and not get to enjoy it :( I'm giving 5 stars since I'm assuming the manager will read this review and hopefully provide this small item to the beautiful breakfast spread they deliver to your room. (My husband did go downstairs in search, but staff had already left and kitchen locked). Apart from that small but significant detail, thank you for a wonderful stay! :)

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Birchfield Manor. The accommodations were clean and well appointed. We stayed two nights in the Anne Suite in which the beds were comfortable and the room spacious. Breakfast each morning, prepared by Brad was delicious and filling. Due to COVID, they serve the hot breakfast as room service to the suite. We choose to take our basket breakfast poolside which was a delightful way to start each morning. High marks for communication, friendly staff and cleanliness. If your in the area, this is definitely better than any chain hotel.

This is a nice little get way in the heart of Yakima. We stayed in the Jenny for a single night and it was just ok. While I appreciate the coziness of the room with the large king bed, I feel that some of the little things could be a bit better and I wish things were just a bit cleaner. The little things to change would be some nicer, softer sheets, towels and for goodness sake some softer toilet paper. There were dead flies in jet tub, several cobwebs, and water damage in the bathroom. While there are some areas of improvement the overall stay was very pleasant and as promised a delicious breakfast was delivered to our door promptly at 830. The food was more than expected and prepared to perfection. With some small changes to cleanliness this could be a 5 star bed and breakfast. We look forward to returning.

The Birchfield Manor was lovely - nice clean room located right by the wine country, with patio looking over the pond, fire place, jacuzzi in room. Delicious breakfast was brought to your room in the basket. Just 10 minutes from downtown Yakima. Enjoyed our visit very much. Hopefully soon they can open up their dining room again - looks amazing.
