Review Backwoods Country Fare Cafe - Yakima

Everything was really delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality of the food. The Mexican twists on the menu were great. Very friendly servers. Would definitely return if in the area.

When ever we're visiting in Yakima, Backwoods Café is our go-to place. The hostess knows and greets us, there's never a wait (we time it right), the coffee comes right away and the servings are generous. The bacon - and everything else - is done as requested...they're happy to change it up if you have any preferences or requests! There's ample parking, clean bathrooms, and very friendly staff. The decor is country comfort: bears, eagles, and a huge pine tree that's hit the ceiling now. The acoustics are good, too. If you're looking for a cozy environment, great service and good eats, this is the place! Enjoy!!

Huevos Rancheros with hash browns is what's pictured. Backwoods Cafe has become a new favorite spot of mine. They have a variety of foods to choose from, friendly service and things seem to got done fast there as well. A nice place to sit down and have a very good meal alone or with others!

Best breakfast we had in Yakima. Tiny, hole-in-the-wall, tucked into a strip-mall wonderful place to eat. The waitresses are super. The chorizo burger is homemade and full of flavor. Even the coffee is good. Seek them out, you won't be disappointed!

This place is amazing. The food is the best! We had the country fried steak and backwoods French toast and they were everything!!!! Definitely coming back! Server's were sweet and prompt. A must to try.

Great little restaurant with amazing food and a super friendly and attentive staff... Ordered the South skillet with a roasted jalapeno and a side of their homemade house salsa. I will be back for this incredible flavor combination!

Poor service. First off this place is horrible... wait time for food sucked almost 45 mins from the time I ordered. wait staff was rude food wasn't bad but not worth the price paid.

Yakima's Best Kept Secret. This place is simply amazing. Me and my family tracked down this place for brunch after seeing a picture of their logger burger a friend of mine posted. I was impressed as soon as I walked in the door. Lovely country atmosphere and servers were super friendly. First of all you need about 10 minutes to decide what you want because EVERYTHING on the menu sounds so good to order and it is very difficult to decide on just one thing. Drinks never went unfilled and someone was always checking on us. We finally ordered the Logger Burger, Ranchero Omelette, and the Monte Cristo and each dish was unbelievable. It was great having the owner Dora take our order, suggest menu options, and even socialize with us so we felt welcomed. The Logger Burger is hands down the BEST BURGER me and my sister ever had. The Ranchero Omelettes enchilada sauce brought a smile to my dads face and the fried jalapeno was a great touch. My little brother loved his Monte Cristo and my mom couldn't believe how big the portion sizes were. The food was delicious, portion size superb, and can't beat good food at those prices, well worth the wait. We were already planning what we were going to have the next time we come which I know will be very soon. P.S the beaver jalapeno mustard is yummy to put on the burger and fries!

Whats not to love!!. Love everything here....you could literally go hear for lunch everyday for weeks and not try the same thing twice...<br/><br/>So far I have enjoyed the<br/><br/>Farmer burger with Spinach <br/>The Ranco Omlet with enchalad sauce<br/>Very Good Breakfast Churizo<br/>The steak and cheese philly sandwhich<br/>The Onion rings are amazing <br/>and the Fajita Salad are too die for!!<br/><br/>The prices are very fair....and they have yet to dissapoint...<br/>I am so glad I was introduced to this little slice of heaven...I hope you try it to! Forget Dennys or Shari's eat breakfast here!

Strip-mall Backwoods.. The first time I found this place it was closed. Not one to give up easily I kept at it until my schedule and their's matched. This is a very nice little place with very good food. The service is way above average and friendly to boot. I had huevos rancheros which isn't on the menu but they can make it for you if you ask nicely. You won't regret it!

Good breakfast. Went to the backwoods cafe for breakfast. the menu was extensive. we both had omlettes and they were excellent. It's a small place but nicely decorated. I highly recomend this place.

Backwoods Country Fare Café is a hybrid of American diner breakfast/lunch and Mexican influences, as all good things on the West Coast should be in my snobby Californian opinion. It’s all mountain kitsch inside, but not overwhelmingly so. A few wolves, American Indian crafts, and the like decorate the walls. But most importantly, it’s open until 2 pm and breakfast is available for all of their hours. And it’s good!
