Another icon of Worcester. So many classic delis have disappeared. Don't miss Maury's. We walked 2 miles here and back for the hot pastrami and it was worth every step. The pastrami is amazing and served on a very hearty roll. The vegetables were gorgeous and fresh. The potato salad was made with baby reds and a solid choice. Added a little salt and pepper and was perfect! This says a lot because I'm pretty picky about my potato salad. The service was friendly and outstanding, well above and beyond standard counter service. I feel our food was made with genuine care and attention. And again, the pastrami is incredible!

First time here and it was by recommendation. The portions are big. Had to share with Mom. Most importantly, it was very tasty. Bathrooms were clean and for the portions, price was decent. Person who served me was very pleasant however, she did not change her gloves (same gloves she used to pick up the phone, the fabric napkin etc) that was my only issue. Everything else was on point. I will definitely recommend and will go there again!

The best deli sandwiches in Worcester without a doubt. My personal favorite is the number 27 (hot pastrami + sirloin beef) with lettuce, onion, tomato! Don’t forget the pickles. Decent prices that range from ($8-$11) for a grinder.

Best Deli around. Thank you for all the great sandwiches and soups throughout the years!

Maury's gets the honor of receiving my first review. After ordering the "DOUBLE ITALIAN" I felt so strongly about the sandwich that i received that I had to go ahead and give it a very generous 1 star. I am by no means a picky person, NEVER (until this moment) do I ever say that a meal is "bad" let alone a SANDWICH, like come on how bad can a sandwich get? ...
Firstly, lets address the meat. The "Salami" in the sandwich is actually dog food quality meat, no exaggeration. Feel free to look at the picture I attached. IF that isn't enough of a turn off, the bread used is bland and has the processed bread texture that makes subway's bread seem like that of a 5 star bakery.
Next is the price, even though their online price found through trip advisor (they don't have a website) was completely wrong from their actual price (The ITALIAN sandwich is $5 online and $7 in store while their DOUBLE ITALIAN is $7 online and a whopping $9.60 after tax in store) I don't mind paying more for a sandwich especially when the value and taste is there. BUT for the $10 range there are some VERY VERY good sandwiches out there.
PLEASE do not waste your money or appetite here.. I'm serious, go to subway before this place. Check out a diner, you'll get more, it'll taste better and for much less.

I been going to Maury’s Deli for over 60 years as a 8 year old to now. Give me a number 41 on dark with spicy mustard the best ! A 41 is a pastrami. I going to miss them if they close and not sell it. They are part of Worcester. Maury’s, The Wonder Bar and Coney Island icons of the City!

edit 10/16/21: Ate here before closing one last time. It was as good as it ever was. Thank you Maury's for all you've done for Worcester. I really hope you come back, we love you. Good luck on your future endeavors.

The best sandwich I ever had. I got Pastrami. I haven't ever gotten full off of half a sandwich. Thank you. Best quality everything. I love you.
