Friends have been telling me about this place for a long time, so the hubbie and I stopped in for the first time tonight. Adorable atmosphere, huge portions, food was better than fantastic (I had fried chicken BBQ and hubbie had catfish). Collard greens were better than any I've had south of the Mason Dixon line, yams were spectacular too!! But as great as all the food was, the service and the employees were even better. I can't recommend this place enough. YOU NEED TO GO THERE!!!!!
Now you know not all black people food is equal, and I personally avoid it in restaurants, as to not be disappointed and sad eating gross macaroni and cheese. BUT...my husband just brought home Addie Lee's Soul Food....bruuuh...this food was so good it brought a tear to my eye. I felt like I was a little girl sitting at my grandmother's red formica top kitchen table, with the lazy susan in the middle with the salt, pepper, hot sauce and vinegar, eating her fried chicken, sweet cornbread, and yellow rice. It took everything in me to not eat it all at once. Maybe its these hormones (I'm pregnant with twins), but this food for real got me all emotional. GO TO HERE!

Best soul food I’ve had since moving from the South. Fried chicken is always cooked perfectly, Mac and cheese has great texture, and their corn bread is to die for.

I just went here. OMG! This was just what I needed. I've been craving soul food for a while, so when I was researching restaurants in the area, I was very excited and surprised. Arrived and order the medium meal (ver filling for 1). The gentleman at the register was very nice and gave me information on the food/restaurant/city. It's a family owned restaurant and I love that. They also have beef ribs, so I will definitely make my way back another time, but this fried chicken/mac & cheese/collads/cornbread was DeLiCiOuS!

Got the fried chicken rice and collard greens!! Everything was tasty. My girlfriend had the beef rib and that too was tender. Side note the corn bread was fresh and that too full of flavor. They take care in there craft here!
I had food delivered to my home from here and it was AMAZING. All the items on my large homestyle plate were delicious but the chicken was my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly as it was flavorful without being too greasy or too dry. The prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. You will definitely be satisfied whether delivery or sit in.
I'm from Florida and I have to give Addie Lee's Soul Food the credit they deserve, first off and a very important factor the customer service is friendly and excellent! Secondly the food make you want to slap everybody. If I every come back here again Addie Lee's Soul Food is where I'm eating. I'm a truck driver and it's hard to get to soul food, I'm in love with this restaurant. It's a must try y'all. I recommend Addie Lee's to everyone that want real soul food. It was my first time going to the restaurant and I’m very pleased. The chicken, cornbread, rice and baked Mac are 🔥🔥🔥. Will be back again.
