Love love it. The staffs were really polite and nice, the food was great, actually one of my best places to eat a carvery as am very selective. The environment was quite clean and well decorated. You can't help to just feel right at home.

Good range of vegetables. Meats carved with good portions. Plate sizes for large and small appetites as well as standard. Pleasant staff. Nice surroundings. Children's play area.good off road parking easily found off m5 well worth a visit for a traditional carvery.

I have to say the last 6 months ago I came here it was shocking. And came again and it was bad again. Didn’t come back. Decided to come today (Sunday) for First time in 6 plus months. I have I have to say AMAZING. Lovely to see This place packed out again with lots of people and food was spot on everything was constantly coming out fresh meat was perfect. Service was fab. Think this place started to go downhill but I think it’s beginning to get its reputation back. Me my hubbby and kids left happy, full and can’t wait to come back.

Nice cosy country pub. Good sized portions at the carvery. The Yorkshire puddings and the roast potatoes were disappointing. However, there was a good choice of fresh vegetables. The person serving looked like he really did not want to be there. A hello and a smile would not have gone amiss. Good choice of ice creams for desert.

Our first visit and we'd definitely return. Had a delicious carvery with three meats and loads of vegetables. Staff were friendly and helpful with plenty of places to seat in this very spacious pub.

Had a lovely carvery today at the Raven I think that they have got a new Chef. The meat on offer was very tasty and there was a lot of lovely hot vegetables to choose from. Staff were very friendly and polite. Highly recommended.

Husband and I went today (7th June at 1pm) to the Raven as we both fancied a carvery. Served immediately with drinks and very quickly with carvery. It was absolutely delicious. Meat was first class. We had pork beef and turkey and lots of amazing crackling. Large selection of vegetables. All fresh and hot. Beautiful parsnips. Both agreed one of the best yet. Friendly staff and very smiley waitress. A really good experience.

Lovely family pub, particularly love the old music they play on a Sunday. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Sunday carvery is amazing, especially the parsnips and giant Yorkshire pud! Would have given 5* if a bit more generous with the portions of meat and the sign outside wasn't a little misleading, makes it look like you can get a carvery for four or five pounds.

The carvery at the Raven is not of the finest but is adequate if one is satisfied with a limited selection of vegetables, particularly of the green variety. The quality is variable, mostly due to the fact that different chefs have different ideas as to cooking times. On one occasion, the Yorkshire puddings were almost totally uncooked, on another they were overdone. The roast parsnips have often suffered the same fate. The meat is of good quality, but sometimes too much of a challenge for the totally inadequate, very small, very cheap cutlery, which lets the establishment down and staff often fail to recognise the difference between dessert and dinner cutlery, which makes tackling a roast meal rather difficult. Not a place to go in the evening if you want a peaceful time and a quality experience.

Greeted by a friendly member of the bar staff. Order quickly taken and delivered. Went for the carvery and not disappointed. Loads of meat and all the veg where cooked to my taste buds. Will be returning soon as this was well worth popping in for.
