A sigh of relief after my experience down the road at Great Whitcombe! Good service, good food and open until 11pm. Found somewhere comfortable to sit to wile away the hours so all good.

Couldn't fault the food itself, the roast dinners were amazing. The service from our waiter was also faultless - he worked very hard to make sure everything was as good as it could be. I've knocked a star off due to what seemed to be poor behind the scenes management really. We'd pre-booked a table for 17 people at 3pm with over a week's notice, and yet when we arrived our table wasn't ready because they'd been under the impression the booking had been cancelled. Not sure why, I'd only phoned the once to book it. The restaurant was also very short staffed. As a result we weren't eating until gone 5pm and were there for around 4 hours in total. Bit tricky to keep young kids entertained for that long on empty stomachs! They'd also run out of roast beef by that point so several of us had to change our order. Again, the staff were very accommodating and knocked money off the bill for us, so all in all a solid 4 stars

Me and my partner came for breakfast today ( Monday 16th October) was really impressed with breakfast. We both had the unlimited breakfast for £9.99 All you can eat breakfast and unlimited tea, coffee, juices , pancakes, croissants and blueberry muffins. Really good value and very quick service on the food . Will definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back

The food is great, although can be on the pricey side. Waited quite a while to be seated but once sat down the food and drinks were prompt and delicious. Music rather loud in the bar making it difficult to converse. Convenient location for motorway access

We came for dinner with four people, whilst the food was great it took a long time for each dish to come out, we ended up being there over 2 hours due to the waits on food. The waitress was lovely and very apologetic but we ended up being late to our other reservation because of it.

I went there for breakfast with my grand children, there is a special offer during the school holiday ( 1 paying adult, 2 under 16 free). Very friendly staff who kept busy replenishing the food trays. The bacon and eggs were delicious and the apple juice was very good. We all had a lovely experience. Tasty food, professional staff and a bargain!! We will definitely come back.

It was very quiet, but it was a Thursday lunchtime. The menu was good, and although my first choice wasn't available, I had an acceptable substitute. The service by Alice was exceptional. However, there was a 49p charge, which we didn't understand. We only ordered added mayonnaise and didn't think we would have to pay for it. We didn't point it out as we asked Alice to round it up so we could leave a tip, so the 49p was her loss, really.

We were seated quickly, Jay was our Waiter and he was very pleasant very helpful and very accommodating! The starter I had was chicken wings but the chef added the wrong sauce however Jay was very apologetic and got them changed. My main was Fish and Chips and the fish was beautiful. Sticky Toffee pudding to finish which was lush. My friend had rump steak which was cooked to perfection all in all a good experience. Well done Jay for being super pleasant!
