This is my go-to restaurant. Always good food. Chicken tortilla soup has a lot of chicken with real fresh avocados. I sometimes order via doordash or stop by there to pick up my food. The price is also affordable for the amount that they good. Please keep it up! I like supporting local businesses during this pandemic. Workers also wear mask here and proper distancing when eating or at least that's what I see when I pick up my order.

Excellent customer service, not so much with the foods. Party of 5 and none of us were impressed with our meals. Their queso was more like water and milk with cheese, the taste of the food was far from delicious sadly. We had a very good server which is why i gave it two stars but that’s about it!

Amazing customer service. Amazing food, only too about 15-20 for the food to come.

Love the food! Wanted to give it a 4.5 but this rating system won't allow...
The salsa was excellent and their menu has good variety. Most of the time I don't like the rice served bc it's tasteless but the rice here surprised me and I really enjoyed it. My favorite was the 3 enchiladas. All were excellent especially the one with salsa verde. The tacos were spiced just right and the refried beans were tasty.
Service was attentive and atmosphere was on par for a mid range restaurant. Prices were reasonable and you get a huge portion.
A friend from Mexico recommended this place to me as authentic for this end of town and he was right.
I highly recommend it too!

That salsa will set your tongue on fire. I LOVE it. Only complaint is the service. There was only one server on a Sunday afternoon and it was really busy. I ordered nachos and they were okay. My bf ordered a taco salad that he enjoyed.

Been going here since I was 12. Everyone is super friendly.

I visited this restaurant in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. There were only 2 other tables occupied but the service was slow. I had to go to the kitchen entrance twice to get my server's attention. The food was so bad, I wouldn't eat it. I ordered a combination meal but all 3 items tasted the same and were covered with what looked like ground beef in gravy. Very strange for a Mexican meal. I pushed it aside and just ate chips and salsa. I told my server twice but she ignored it and charged me for the meal. It ended up being an expensive meal of chips and salsa. I would NOT recommend this restaurant and I will never return.

Highly disappointed with our experience. My wife and really aren't that picky but we will not be returning.

- It took at least 10 minutes to order and receive drinks (water and a Coke)

- We could clearly see them heating up the cheese dip in a microwave (I don't think this is standard practice for most Mexican places)

- Food took a good 25 minutes and when my wife's Fajitas came out everything was cold and WAY over cooked. You couldn't bite the shrimp, the steak and chicken were chewy and charred.

Overall an awful experience.

Weekly costumer. My boyfriend and I love this place! We crave it at least once a week, sometimes twice. Service is always good, waiters are all friendly, price is reasonable, and we love our 32oz beers! And of course, food is phenomenal. My favorite Mexican restaurant!! I'd recommend it to anyone!

Sad to say it has gone down hill.. I live down the street from this neighborhood mexican favorite. When it first opened it was absolutely hands down delicious, always fresh good quality food. Sadly I went last night and paid $9.50 for Poblanos (stuffed breaded and fried peppers). They were terrible. I never write reviews but these were soggy, and there was almost zero cheese stuffed inside just a soggy breaded mess. I dined with 4 other people who also had soggy bad food and it wasn't even that crowded. I hope they realize what's happening before too many people switch, there are a lot of other great choices all around :(

A bit pricey, food was no different from other Mex places

Crappy Mexican in an ugly location. There's really not much I can say about this place that isn't negative. The food is extremely bland and was served lukewarm. The guacamole was squirted from a tube and was the consistency of pea baby food. All around disgusting place to eat.

Things are changing here. Visited tonight. Salsa was a dark red instead of the usual bright red it's been for 20 years plus. We got the charra beans tonight. Looked and tasted different. The recipe for the tacos al pastor has changed completely. The meat used to have an almost orange-red color to it and it was better. Also, it was odd that the tacos a la mexicana did not have cilantro and onions. Service from a girl who has been there for a few months was terrible. She didn't like to work and did not like making multiple trips. For example, instead of bringing drinks immediately, she waited until cheese dip with chorizo was done, which was too long. On the plus side, they now give you two corn tortillas for each taco. I hate to see changes, here, though.

-----17 Oct, 2014-----

Hard to believe haven't been in three years. We were at our very favorite Mexican restaurant tonight (this one). Best salsa on earth. Clean, fresh, bright atmosphere. Great service from Marta and Rigo, the owners. Marta is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They've changed their recipe for tacos al pastor. Have to say I preferred the old one, but this one was better than anywhere else we've been. Charra beans are awesome. They've been at it since '91. Marta says she's getting tired working all day. Looking forward to retiring. She seems so young. She said they are going to close it down when they retire. I mentioned to her that I visited their place on Buford Highway back when they had it. I asked her how many of their customers are veterans of the old place and this one. "You and one other guy." This is one of my five or so favorite restaurants.

-----28 Aug, 2011-----

Visited Mi Casa again tonight. We live in Chattanooga but were in town and had to stop in. Not much we miss dining wise about Atlanta, but this is one we do miss.

Salsa is the best I've had anywhere. Cheese dip with jalapenos is the best. Tacos al pastor and with chorizo are the best. Charra beans are incredible. Nothing on this menu is bad. We were served by Marta tonight, one of the owners. She is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, as is her husband, Rigo.

I want to slap the recent reviewer who slammed this great place, but you know I have to give him credit for the guacamole comment. The guac here is one of the only bad things here. It does seem out of a tube. Makes no sense since everything else is perfect. There is another guac you can get as a side that is more authentic, but the version they squirt on the food is not good.

-----01 Oct, 2010-----

Best Mexican in town. We've been eating at Mi Casa since they were in the old place. I even ate at their now-closed location on Buford Hwy. In my opinion, this is the best Mexican food in Metro Atlanta. The tacos al pastor and the salsa are great. We also love the beans a la charra. I think I spelled that right. Frijoles a la charra are Mexican-style pinto beans and are great here. Rigo and Marta, the owners, are almost always there, which almost always means a great dining experience.

Good. I really enjoyed the food and service at Mi Casa. Sometimes in the larger Mexican fare restaurants, you get lost and are served by a lot of servers, but at Mi Casa our server stuck with us the whole time and gave great service.

My family has been coming here for at least 10 years. Rigo and his family have been working hard at running their place for more than that. Great atmosphere, everyone Is family, the food and the prices are great! Just come on a Friday night and see why this is a local

Without a doubt, the best Mexican food in the area. One of the only places to make homemade mole -- and it's amazing. The chilaquiles in either red or green sauce are a must-try as are the tacos de pastor. The owners are fabulous and always make everyone feel at home. I love this place!
