Amazing dinner! I had shrimp scampi - fresh, sweet and spicy all together. We also had seafood risotto and beef bolognese. Great service as well and a very good and affordable Oregon Pinot Noir…
Big dining in a small town! Been here several times and they consistently rotate the menu. You'll see shrimp scampi and seared scallop gnocchi in the photos. Both exquisite. And they make their own ice cream/sorbets. One of my favorite places in the state.

Wonderful discovery, finding a quaint little restaurant in a little New England town, kudos to the Little Village Bistro . . . Driving on rt. #1 in Wisscaset, take rt. #27 north about 1/2 mile . . . restaurant is on the right side of road. You need reservations.
My wife and I arrived 25 minutes early, prior to our reservation. . . So we started our evening at the bar. A plethora of red wines, my wife found the Melbec from Argentina, excellent ($9 glass) . . . while I enjoyed a Sam Adam's winter lager. Small bar that seats about 6 people, but well stocked with good selection of bourbons, whiskeys, and a variety of liquors.
Our server escorted us over to our table at the specified time. I observed about 10 tables, half that seated couples, and half that seated groups of 4 people. My guess would be 34 folks at the 5:30 seating. I found the room cozy, with a reasonable noise level for good conversation . . . Not the setting for a large party of 14 to 20 people packed & stacked in a long table configuration. (Unless you had a special arrangement with the owner/chef for the whole room )
As to food, the menu changes with the season . . . We found the choices well suited to December's cool temperatures.
I wish a warm soup had been offered, but not on our night? We split an excellent arugula salad with shaved root vegetable with and a delectable dressing, accompanied by fried calamari on the side! Then my wife ordered up yellow fin/Ahi tuna ($26), and I tried their rack of lamb ($35), over potatoes and little green peas . . . both cooked perfectly and delicious. So glad we saved enough room . . . we split a carrot & coconut cake that topped off a great meal . . . at $160 for two.
All this restaurant needs is a view . . . maybe a roaring fireplace in the winter, or sail boats floating by as the sun set over looking a bay? Still a wonderful meal, good service, in a cozy setting that would be my go to place with good friends or family members. Thanks Village Bistro!
A great experience. Locally brewed beer options, delicious food, in a lovely quaint atmosphere. Staff exceptional. A must visit!
What a fantastic little gem!! The food was amazing, the wait staff attentive, the ambiance was perfect. It's a hopping place, make sure to get a reservation!!
Delicious food! Definitely a five star. We tried seafood risotto, Stuffed and Haddock. Both were awesome. They also have kids menu and very tasty options like chicken skewer and flat bread and pasta. Very friendly staff. It has outdoor and staff wear masks.
Staff were extremely friendly which was a very welcome surprise being we were a feeling a little less than their typical clientele. They quickly worked to relocate our seating arrangements due to my being on crutches. Our food was cooked to perfection (rare, but seared well on the outside) and the flavors were just explosive - the drinks, meal and dessert. I cannot praise enough. Everything about this night was perfect which was great because it was my birthday. Thanks Becca!!
Always fabulous. Their salads are especially fine and creative. Great house red wine. Main dishes are also very well done and the staff knows how to "read" their customers. Well worth the price!
Had the crab stuffed haddock, delicious! So good and worth it! The potatos and asparagus, excellent, although I wish there was a few more pieces of asparagus. The bread was so good and was a great start. Can't wait to try my dessert
We've found our go-to restaurant in all of Maine.
Dining here is the first time in a long time that the service, food, and atmosphere were far and away beyond what we could create at home. The prices seem high for Central/Coastal Maine, but are perhaps too low for the quality you get!
Little Village Bistro has, in my opinion, the best atmosphere, service, food, cocktails, and a pretty strong wine list to boot!
Our server, Kennedy, was excellent and attentive without being overbearing.
If you go soon, you MUST try the roasted Delicatta squash appetizer with the aioli. It was unbelievable.
