Had a wonderful lunch there a few days ago. I have always enjoyed French food so I thought I would try this place in Winter Park, and I am glad I did. I ordered the roasted canard duck. Delicious! It is cooked with a very tasty orange, honey with seasoning glaze and a vegetable pie type of side. My only criticism is that the portions are a bit small but I was led to believe that the dinner portions are larger. I hope so because it can be a bit pricey. Anyway, I finished the meal with a serving of creme brulee. Yummy! And the staff was excellent. Very helpful, courteous, caring, and professional. I recommend Cafe de France, and I must return soon for a dinner. Give them a try...you won't be disappointed!

Phenomenal little gem on Park Avenue -- can't believe we just discovered it (20+ yrs later!) The escargot is amazing, my husband LOVED the chicken liver salad, and the diver scallops were mind blowing. Well curated wine list -- not huge, but everything listed is exceptional (and at a great value too!) Can't wait to come back for dinner! 😍😍😍

Cute little restaurant at the end of Park Ave. I was the only guest for the evening it looked like, but did not mind the special attention. The lamb was amazing, the profiteroles were bland. Instead of the vanilla filling they had restaurant made ice cream, which I did not care for, but was so in the mood for profiteroles, that finished it. To the restaurant defense, they did ask me if I wanted something else. Dish presentation was really good!

I dont know what its called outside of a lamb sandwich (I dont eat pork) but it was delicious. It tasted like cheese was on the inside and outside, with Anorexics (super skinny) fries that were great as well. Thank you CDF

Outstanding service. Escargot was great. Rack of lamb served as recommended medium rare. Special that evening was sea scallops served with 3 large scallops on a mushroom risotto. Fish was black bass. Dessert was creme brulee. Only disappointment was they have just beer and wine.

It is definitely an expensive restaurant but food was very good. I got mallard duck but my fiancé got the roasted rack of lamb, I liked both but the lamb was my favorite, absolutely worth it. As an appetizer we ordered the French onion soup, it was good but too salty for me, besides that everything was delicious.

I was really looking forward to eating at Cafe de France - according to the rave reviews. Let me just say that the overall atmosphere is genuine and charming. Lovely ambiance - authentic. Great wine list as you would expect from a French restaurant. The service was great and overall the food was good. One of the somewhat disappointing aspects was what they did with the sea scallops. It was somewhat surprising and I could be wrong that the cook took two large scallops and halved them so it looked like 4. These scallops were served over risotto - very good/fresh taste but clearly appeared to be an appetizer. Another disappointment was the coffee. Not good at all and it should be important for a French restaurant to have good tasting fresh coffee. But overall it was a nice, pleasant experience.

We had a wonderful dinner at Café de France recently. It was our second time there, and I love that they have so many traditional French dishes on their menu. The beef Bourguignon, the escargot, and my favorite for dessert, Tarte Tatin! Always a lovely experience, you won’t be disappointed!

We celebrated our daughter’s birthday last evening , having chosen this restaurant because it is always extraordinary , and last night was no exception. There is a variety of menu items, all prepared expertly, light hearted yet attentive servers, and a cozy atmosphere. What else is there? Thanks for a memorable evening!

Escargot, French Onion Soup, Veal chops (it was a chef special - not always on the menu) and Creme Brule. All were excellent as always at this place. We come here whenever we really want it to be special and intimate.

Great service. Knows the menu and the preparation. Gives us the option on how we wants our order served. Ordered the duck, escargot, onion soup, and the catch of the day. All were perfect. Highly recommended.

Wonderful. Our waiter David never let our drinks go below half full. He told us the specials promptly, checked on us several times to make sure it was good. I had the duck, which was delicious and tender. It came with sweet potato and apple fennel straw. It was absolutely delicious. The only bad thing is the bathrooms could use some work. But that has 0 impact on the food or quality of service. 9/10.
