Review Griff's On The Bay Restaurant & Seafood Market - Winchester Bay

Is what one would expect in a seafood tourist town. I enjoyed my beer with my arctic frosted mug. I would highly recommend the captains platter grilled, not fried.

the service was great and the waitress was very funny and nice. i got the seafood pasta and it was amazing, the chef came up after i was done eating and asked if it was good and even took it back and put it in a togo cup with more garlic bread so i could have it at home. everyone was super nice and the prices for how much good food you get is great. absolutely delightful

Hats off to the the chef! The food isn't fancy but the fish was fresh and perfectly cooked across the five different dishes my party ordered. Prices expected for local fish. Dock side indoor and outdoor seating make for an authentic Oregon Coast experience.

The clan chowder is great. I'm super particular about my chowder and I asked for a sample before I ordered. So flavorful and so much clam! The bread bowl was amazing! It was delicious and nice and toasted. $13 which is wonderfully priced and definitely a lot. My bf got the halibut burger and fries and he said it was great also. The view is so beats also. There are a lot of options around that area and I'm glad we went here.

Staff was friendly and patient, the atmosphere was very vibrant, food was extraordinarily good and tasty, quick wait times, all around worth the money, highly recommend!

The food was very good, I had the salmon burger which is a real piece of salmon and it was excellent. My friend had the Halibut Burger which again was a real piece of halibut, she thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd recommend this place, it's almost a little out of the way but worth it.

The seafood is phenomenal. So fresh, so well prepared. I have yet to be disappointed and I have dined there several times. Service on the other hand seems to be a constant struggle, but even though the service has been underpar, the staff have been friendly and polite (and apologetic) when they do finally arrive to take your order and the food has been so good you almost forget about the painful wait.

We came here on a Saturday from Eugene - never visited before. I overheard the staff saying that someone didn’t show up for their shift, so I think the owner or manager was helping serve tables. We would never have known, because the service was still excellent and our food came out quickly and piping hot. I’m not much of a French fry person, but I ate every one - the best fries I have ever had! Hot, super crispy outside and soft inside! Delicious. Service, the food, the view were all wonderful. I had the friend shrimp and grilled scallops which also came with coleslaw. Coleslaw was fresh, crisp and delicious. The seafood tasted fresh, and cocktail sauce tasted homemade and had just the right amount of spice. My husband had the oyster Poor Boy Sandwich and loved it also. We will definitely come back to Griff’s. Nothing fancy but good food and good people.

We met friends at Griffs for Dinner. Food was great, large portions, brought some home. Decent prices, friendly staff. Nice view, cozy. We will go back more often.

The food was delicious! I had the fish and chips. Perfectly fried and tasted my husband’s prawns and scallops! Wonderful

Best chowder I've had. Staff were great, very friendly and helpful, service was fast and friendly only down side was we got here too late to have fresh oysters. 100% would recommend and will be back when we drive through again.

Food was awesome. Fresh seafood and chicken and burgers for those that aren't a fan of seafood. Will definitely be back!
