Enjoyed a reasonably priced steak sandwich and fries that were very good. It was fairly busy and I needed to get to an appointment. The bartender who served my food got me out with time to spare.

This was my first time at this location, we came in with a group of 11 and were able to be seated quickly. We ordered 3 large pizzas, some beach fries with cheese, and beer for the adults. The server was quick and attentive, and was very personable. The food was delicious and was out in no time, only thing that sucked is they had no broccoli and cheese bits. The price per person was reasonable and a great price for drinks. The location was clean and there was plenty of parking. This location is great and I would definitely come back again.

Pretty good pizza and fries I had there. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, as we took my grandfather, who has trouble walking, here. He nearly collapsed and we had a very nice server come over to help us grab a chair for him.

Fries and Wings were pretty good. Nothing special, but no notable missteps. Everything seemed clean and there were no issues with the staff.
However, for a place that has "Pizza" in the name, the pizza should have been the star, but it left much to be desired. The best part of the pizza was the swirl design on it makes for a pretty plate. The cheese was bizarre in both flavor and texture, almost like it was a mixture of imitation cheddar and mozzarella. The sauce tastes like it came from a cheap jar of premade pizza sauce... No herbs, no seasoning, just a bland tomato flavor. It tasted like it was made from all cheap, processed, imitation, and/or frozen ingredients. Overall, it made for a very disappointing slice.
DiGiorno would have been a more satisfying pie.

I love Grotto Pizza but they switched to a delivery service which charges extra. Very disappointing. I had an issue with this service and Grotto wasn't even able to help. I sat on the phone for a long while with both companies and ended up without any food.

I’m going to date this review and you’ll see how in the next sentence. It’s so comforting to find a place where I can dine in. So it was here at Grotto Pizza in Wilmington. I ordered a boil and my first impression was it’s small. It turns out that it was just right. Actually it was just right in more ways than one. The crust wasn’t too thick, there was enough filling to be flavourful, and a cup of sauce was provided on the side. Everyone has their own tastes for “just right.” For my tastes this was just right on all counts. If you’re looking for a “wow. I can’t eat all that” Stromboli, this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for a Stromboli for two, this isn’t that unless you’re also ordering appetisers or sides. If you want a really good but not over the top Stromboli, then this might be just right for you.

Found it by chance waiting for show to start at Wilmington Opera House. We go to Grottos in Lewes, Delaware often and this one is just as good. We got crispy chicken wings and fries. Plenty to eat.

I ordered delivery to the Marriot in Wilmington and the pizza arrived within the estimated timeframe. The price wasn't visible on the website but seemed to be on the high end. With that said, it tasted good!! Next time I'll try eating onsite in the restaurant.

This is probably the best pizza family/variety restaurant out there.
They have tvs in certain booths and a nice bar area.
They made the bathrooms better too since they remodeled.
