Review Happy Fortune Restaurant - Wilmington

This is what the $10.75 “pineapple chicken” gets you. Six pieces of chicken, each slightly larger than a McNugget, on a BED OF ICEBERG LETTUCE to make the container look full, plus an entire pint- a pint!- of pineapple sauce (why? So the bag is heavy enough that people don’t catch onto the two-ounces-of-chicken con until they get home). Absolutely infuriating. I’ll never be back.

Their food is good, service about average, prices have gone way up. I ordered boneless ribs. They are by far the most expensive in the area. I think I am going to start driving to the other Chinese places in the area. Gouging your customers is not good for sales. Boneless ribs that used to be $5.75 for a small are now $9.75 for a small. Nobody else in the area (that has a small size) is above $7.95.

SHEESH! Only thing worse than the customer service was the food itself! I made my order, the gentleman nodded and walked away. No acknowledgement of my presence- even after standing there waiting, making eye contact and another customer coming in. I gave up trying to get a wait time so I left only to return later to chunks of ribs that were supposed to be "tips" white rice that was supposed to be, "pork fried" and the worst General Tso's chicken I've ever had. This place should close down. Unless people who like horrible food need somewhere to go.

My family's go-to favorite Chinese restaurant. Very convenient place and some great quality food. Order here usually once every couple of months. Can be a little pricy but I did order a lot of food, which lasted a good three days as leftovers.

best Hunan chicken ever! the broccoli, carrots, peppers, and mushrooms were fresh and cooked perfectly. Just the right amount of spice and generous sauce. Excellent

Always been my go to for Chinese but lately they've been slacking. I thought oh well maybe just not a good night. People use Covid as an excuse but haven't been getting what I'm paying for. Food has been very skimpy and overpriced and under cooked. If I order a shrimp roll I expect shrimp. The quantity just isn't there anymore. Very disappointed!!

Evidently they are Happy and Fortunate, because they had a line of 30+ people in a 15x40 ft building, so I'm guessing people love their food. I just deliver, but I've never eaten their. However, numbers don't lie... WE DO! Now stop lying to yourself and go get some, you know you want it! 😜

This Chinese takeout is located in a small strip mall along the southbound side of Marsh Road. Although this strip mall is back to back with Branmar Plaza, it isn't connected to that larger shopping center, which is a bit inconvenient. I thought service was okay. The evening we placed our order, they had four people working in the kitchen, so it didn't take too long to prepare the food even though they were handling a few phone-in orders at the same time. The roast pork egg foo young and fried rice we ordered were about average but the kung po chicken was pretty good. Prices, however, seem a touch above average for the category.

Too busy. The food is nasty. Go somewhere else. (wink-wink)
