This place was excellent! The food was just exceptional. The drinks were very good and strong. I had the steak and strawberry salad. The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavor profiles just blended nicely. My wife had the ravioli and again it was excellent. We shared the crispy duck plate and that might have been my favorite that night. It was so crispy and had excellent flavor profiles. The plating was also very fancy and really enhanced the look of each dish. I would 100% go there again. It was a nice location in Wilmington only annoyance was parel parking, but that is a me problem!

Lovely meal last night here. I rarely preset beef but thought the sirloin was prepared perfectly. White asparagus was also awesome! The staff was also knowledgeable and gracious.

We went for New Years Eve so we only had the pre-fix menu options to choose from. Each course we had one thing that was excellent and a second that was off the charts amazing. First course we had Crispy Potato Terrine (excellent) and the Wagyu Beef Tartare (absolutely amazing combination of flavors!). Second course we had Grilled Spanish Octopus (excellent) and Sherry-Glazed Lamb Ribs (perfectly amazing - fell off the bone, delicious sticky glaze, and again unbelievable combination of flavors). Third Course we had Pan-Seared Halibut (excellent - especially the walnut crumb topping) and Dry Aged Long Island Duck Breast (all I can tell you is after my husband’s first bite he said, “that may be the best single bite of food I’ve had in my life”). Dessert Course - we aren’t big dessert people, Sweet Potato White Chocolate Brûlée was very good and the Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte was excellent - it was paired with pretzel ice cream a flavor I’ve never had that was a perfect combination. We were seated at the counter facing the street - it was a great night for people watching and still felt intimate. Drinks were fun and wines were excellent - we particularly enjoyed the Malbec. If you’re a foodie this is the place for you. If you’re into standard flavors and large portions, this is not the place for you. Overall amazing experience.

Wow, this restaurant exceeded all expectations! My wife and I are still talking about how great it was the day after eating there. The atmosphere is really cozy, the wait staff is great and the food is spectacularly good. Even the prices are quite reasonable for such a fine restaurant. I would expect a restaurant like this in NYC, but not in downtown Wilmington. But there it is! Can't wait to go back.

This was our fourth and perhaps final time at La Fia. We had a 5:30 PM reservation and I had requested twice to have an out of the way table. I was told I could not have it b/c there was a larger party which would occupy that space. We were seated promptly and I did note that the back out of the way table only had 4 people seated. Exactly the number in our party. We enjoyed Soups X2, a Charcuterie board, cocktail count was five plus two glasses of port, four entrees and then there were two desserts. The total bill with a 30% tip b/c our server was wonderful was $395.20. We were really enjoying our time when someone from the front came to our table, it was about 8:15PM and asked us to leave! While she wasn't' rude, she was snippy, There were open seats at the bar and frankly, we had seen many patrons come and go over the evening. I was shocked. So, this is why while we love the restaurant, whoever this woman was ruined my evening. I do not know right this minute if I will never step foot in La Fia again,. We did correspond with the owner about our experience and in spite of this, have chosen to never step foot in the place again. It’s repeat business that keeps you afloat and this horrible night is simply unforgettable and unforgivable.
