Review Skytown Beer Company - Wilmington

Where to begin. Most breweries will not offer a food experience to compliment the beer experience however this place is unique. Fantastic food by a classical chef. The brisket and ribs were absolutely perfectly smoked and so tender. Paired with beer perfection that made every bite an experience to its self. This brewery is family owned and the husband wife team have done an amazing job producing compelling beer that rival any I have ever tasted.

I've been here twice already and it hasn't dissatisfied me I say this place is a keeper in my book of favorite spots to eat. I've had the pulled pork sandwich that will fill you up pretty good. On my first visit I had the brisket sandwich that didn't dissapoint either. The amazing thing is they brew their own 🍺 which is pretty cool. I personally haven't had any yet, but does not mean I won't in the future. I really like the decor of abstract art hanging around the place. The music they play isn't too loud and it's pretty darn good. Today they playing jazzy/lounge type music and feels relaxing and gives off good vibes. The owner came by my table and asked if I wanted a cookie they bake fresh. Let's just say she had me at Peanut butter.. it was warm and soft and oh so delicious. Don't miss this place it's kid friendly and just a fantastic place to chill and enjoy a good meal and if you want a local brewsky!

After hearing the buzz about Skytown...coupled with the fact that I didn't feel like going to the grocery store this evening, it was time to try some local BBQ for dinner. FOOD: The Texas Brisket Sandwich w/ Mac 'N Beer-Cheese Premium Side & Indiana Pork Tenderloin Sandwich. Comparing this BBQ brisket against the best BBQ brisket I have tasted in Texas...Skytown competes. The brisket was tender, moist & packed full of smoky flavor. I am uncertain which wood is used to smoke & cook their meat...but it offers light, sweet notes, as if Applewood or Cherrywood was used in the process. Delicious!! The Mac 'N Beer-Cheese was a premium side, upgraded with the brisket sandwich meal and it also delivers. The noodles were cooked well (not al dente & not mushy) & were blended in with ooey-gooey, warm cheese. The cheese blend with Skytown's personal brew infused, is subtle and adequate. The flavor of beer in the cheese is not overpowering, which makes me believe a pilsner, light lager or pale ale was chosen over an IPA. I did add a little salt and pepper for additional seasoning but not much. The STAR of this meal was the Indiana Pork Tenderloin Sandwich!!! Wow! Being a native Hoosier from Indianapolis for 38 years...we know tenderloin sandwiches. This tenderloin took me back home to Indiana with that first bite. The breading was sublime and had just the right crunch. Add mayo, pickle and lettuce to it, and you have an incredible tenderloin sandwich! SCORE: 4.3 STARS!! SERVICE: Queue in...Joe! This guy is really good at what he does and is a valuable asset for Skytown. As I ordered a beer, he recommended the Das Boot brew after I informed him of my top beers. Joe also allowed me to try a few other samples just to gauge my interest...but his recommendation was my favorite of the tastings. Then...it seemed as if every patron chose to stop in all at one time....on a Tuesday evening. Aside from kitchen staff, it appeared poor Joe was all alone on this cruise as every passenger boarded. At one point I did witness 1 arriving couple get up and leave. Joe, it appeared, was the only person in the dining / bar / brewery area...serving approx. 30 guests. Although this was a Tues. evening & it may be projected to be a "slower" evening...I was surprised to see just Joe...poor Joe...doing all he could with no assistance. If Skytown had proper staffing with just one more employee, on this evening...I may have given five Stars. But...the personal service slowed down to a crawl, I did not get the chance to order another beer before I could finish my meal, and there simply needed to be one more person there to compliment Joe's exceptional service. SCORE: 3.2 STARS!! OVERALL SCORE: Everything lined up to be a solid visit....until an influx of guests arrived without adequate staff to serve everyone in a timely manner. The food is really delicious, the Das Boot beer was solid and if you get Joe...you'll more than likely be very pleased. I feel very comfortable, fair and honest in my scoring for this evening. I'll be back again. SCORE: 3.8 STARS!!

Perfect little stop for Sunday lunch & beer. Cool brewery with open yet welcoming environment and outdoor seating available. Very clean and great food! Ordered the dreamsicle IPA and it was delicious

I've visited several times. Most recently this past week for a lunch meeting. Simply put the BBQ is phenomenal. My guests and co works were so impressed. They will return and so will I. A must try if you are in Wilmington looking for BBQ. Off hours I will be sampling beer.lol Almost forgot ! Pork Rinds . They are a Knock Out !

The food menu compliments their beer very well! We came on a day that brunch was being served too!! Soo yummy, beer and brunch. Doesn’t get any better. The Mac and cheese is so worth!!

It was good. The pork and brisket were both good without a lot of seasoning. The sauces that were brought to the table worked well with the meat. Lots of tasty beers on tap. A little pricey for the serving size.

Super good chicken tenders and pork bbq sandwich!! Beer selection was good too!! Great local stand up comedians while we were there!! We'll totally be back!

A great new place on this side of town in New Centre Commons across from Target. We had the Bbq. It was good. We look forward to trying something new on the next trip.🍻🍺🍴

I've never been disappointed anytime I've been to Sky Town. In my opinion the spot for Brisket, Ribs and Chicken around the Wilmington Area. The Beer selection will encompass any pallet but if you aren't a beer drinker can have a cocktail as well or wine. The corn bread is a divine sweet treat by itself or a compliment to any entree. Mac and Beer Cheese will make you drool too. 🤤 Try it out for yourself. It's all about the adventure.

My husband and I checked out Skytown for the first time yesterday for lunch. It was amazing! We were well taken care of by the knowledgeable staff and even the owner. Our waitress suggested we split a platter so we could taste a few different things. We started with the pimento cheese and for the platter we ordered the beef brisket and pulled pork BBQ with mac and cheese and cornbread. The food was incredible! We cannot wait to come back! Excited to try their beer which should be ready in a few short weeks.

My wife and I are huge fans of Beer Barrio and when we heard they owners were opening a BBQ and Beer restaurant we couldn't wait to try. The deep fried sausage balls were amazing. I had a 2 meat platter with pulled pork and brisket both had great taste but I must say the brisket was excellent. The 4 in house made BBQ sauces are very good and can be used on all the meats. This will definitely become a weekly eating spot and a place to take friends and family when they visit us.

The food was very good. Maybe spice up your Cole slaw a bit. The brisket and pulled pork was great! Love your cornbread. Your staff was wonderful and inside of your restaurant was neat.

In from out of town, and can’t believe my luck. Went for dinner tonight. Had the pork burger and experimented with all four sauces. Coleslaw and cornbread rounded out the meal. In town for 3 more nights and may eat there all 3 of them. Staff was great as well. Aces all around! P.S. 4 nights in a row!

Couldn’t wait for this restaurant to open because we love the sister restaurant, the Beer Barrio. My husband and I were not disappointed. The food was delicious and abundant, the service was great and everyone is friendly.

First time coming to Skytown and Jen made me and my girlfriend feel very welcomed! Very friendly and worked fast to meet our needs. Very well done! We Ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich with hop salted house made chips, and first impression was magical! Thank you for the refreshing cold beer � & the amazing service.
