Possibly the best old school sandwich shop in Wilmington. A friend that lived near their shop introduced me to Sub Stop 20 years ago and I still love to stop by for my go to sandwich, their “Sub Stopper.” The staff is friendly, personable, and efficient and the food is great. Been coming here my whole life ..34 years. A hometown favorite! Best subs I've ever eaten anywhere! Family owned and operated. Hope it never leaves.... absolutely love it! And the service is always amazing! Mike and his wife are awesome! Best fried pickles, Philly and sub stop burger!

Best service and subs around. I had a classic cheeseburger sub and it was fantastic. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve never left disappointed. Such a great value for the food you get for the money.
This is the closest sub shop to what I would find up north, the subs were delicious, but the lady at the counter had a big attitude and was snippy when you asked questions about the food.

Wilmington native for over 30 years. They would get a better review but the food isn't what it used to b but it's still really good especially for price. My family and I walked in and ordered it didn't take 10 minutes and we had our food. The subs are extremely good and the service is excellent. Totally coming again.
Love this place. I've been a customer here for years. The only critique I have is they need better hours. Especially on the weekends. Closing 4:00pm on Saturday, really bad hours for the weekend.

The last 2 times I've been (in August), the sandwiches weren't as good to me. I'm hoping it was just an off day and not becoming the norm.
We enjoyed the food. Staff was very friendly. I liked the Phili Cheesesteak. Update 3/18/22 I am hooked on the Italian Sub now. So good. 👍
