Jackson's Big Oak Barbecue - Wilmington - Photo album

First time at Jackson’s and certainly will not be our last! The food was so good, 100% reccomend the fried chicken. The service was awesome and the ambiance was so cozy! Cannot wait to come back for another meal!
This is a very popular place! The food is awesome and area looks beautiful. I love the big oak at the back of lot!
I had the fish dinner it was extremely outstanding, delicious to my taste. Great fantastic job. Clean, spotless, outstanding sweet tea just relaxing in my mouth .. keep up the great work I will return very soon. Bishop Jordan
They have an early bird special between lunch and dinner. The fried chicken and pulled pork were excellent! First time having NC style pulled pork and was thoroughly impressed by the vinegar style pulled pork! The mac and cheese was amazing as well. The hush puppies were delightful! The fried corn b
Their slogan says something to the effect of “we’re not fancy, but we sure are good.” This couldn’t be more true! The inside is nothing special but the food and value were both exceptional. We got there right when it opened and the place was packed (always a good sign!) Would highly recommend.
Some of the best barbecue in town great service fantastic steak fries but above anything their fried chicken is one of the best I've ever had
Jackson's is a country delight. Paintings of pigs and historic Battleship photos adorn the walls. A mix of booths and tables all basic mix up the room. It feels very warm and inviting. It is also a family oriented place. People of all ages talking and enjoying their meals. I decided to have a two
Food was good but we didn't like having to order at desk then pay. The only thing the girl did was bring our food to the table. When we wanted more tea or water we had to get up and get it. Need to go back to having waitress again. Not a family atmosphere like it used to be.
Excellent BBQ! We visit here every year when we're in town. Make sure to get a fresh batch of pork cracklings (not in the menu). We happened to stop in on a night where they had brisket and that might just be our new favorite. The fried chicken is pretty impressive as well!
It started well when my daughter said they have the good ice when they delivered our drinks. Eastern Carolina Barbecue fans will be impressed with their sauce. They have a tomato based sauce which is good too, but it pales in comparison. My vote is for the vinegar sauce. Corn nuggets are slightly sw
This is the definition of southern comfort food. Fall off the bone pork ribs, delicious Brunswick Stew, tasty corn sticks and hush puppies... Extremely courteous and friendly staff. Be sure to check out the beautiful, massive oak tree that's part of their namesake.
Great barbecue restaurant. Had the pulled pork plate and was not disappointed. Get to pick two sides and I picked collard greens and beans. Their barbecue sauce is delicious.
The food is great 👍. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I'll definitely be back when I'm in Wilmington.
First time here for lunch. I had brisket, chopped pork, collards, corn nuggets, and banana pudding. The banana pudding was excellent. No complaints. Quant restraunt.
