Review Loose Caboose Cafe - Willits

We split a sandwich and a garden salad to make space for the daily special dessert (lemon berry marscarpone cake). The Reuben dip was very tasty and filling. Loved the light crusty/crispy bread and the nicely shredded sauerkraut. The dessert was so large but fluffy and enjoyable to eat. And what a deal for $5! They turned on the outside heaters to allow us to enjoy the sunny outdoors in spite of the chilly air. Would come here again.

Healthy portions of good tasty food. The service was excellent and super friendly. They have indoor and patio seating available.

Another frustrating and fruitless trip over the hill ⛰️ to find a car led to a special food find. The friend who accompanied me found this place online this place online so we checked it out. Snuggled dreamily on a one way street it evoked charm from the exterior as you can see. It is blessed by amazing flora and fauna that graces the outdoor patio section, which is peaceful and makes you feel like you are in another world. The staff is helpful, attentive, knowledgeable and amazing. The food choices were tremendous. My friend had the Cordon Bleu, which he is still talking about and my WigWag pastrami was it’s equal. Definitely a must to frequent in Willits. I am always amazed at the variety of culinary choices in Willits a pretty large variety more than just burritos and pizza. Has anyone seen the quality of their little newspaper? I’m jealous 😳

Delicious sandwiches and a great, eclectic atmosphere. The staff is friendly and quick. Be aware that they do not accept credit cards, and try the soda fountain style cherry Pepsi. It made my day.

I recently visited this amazing cafe that not only had great food, but also used biodegradable straws! This is such an important initiative towards protecting the environment and reducing plastic waste. The cafe had a great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about their products. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a delicious bite to eat and a sustainable place to enjoy a drink. Kudos to the cafe for their commitment to the environment!

This place is great! Sandwiches ~amazing, really great flavors. My favorite is the club car. Salads ~ great flavor and assortment, but really wish they'd consider doing chopped veggies, it's a little odd and messy cutting up a salad or eating whole, but the flavors always hit!

The patio is magical with a lovely fountain & vines fluttering in the breeze. We were greeted warmly right away & really appreciated feeling at home. The food is SO good! We got the meatball starter & the kids could have made a meal of those alone - seriously the best. All our sandwiches were yummy, honestly the bread is a showstopper. Try a veggie sando with the sunflower seeds, it's delicious.

Costomer service was awesome! Nice vibe to the restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The food was delicious! I got the extra veggie sandwich. I would definitely recommend this for vegetarians.

I had a small salad and it was good. It seemed like a lot, though I couldn't eat it all. Very good service! Chocolate shake was really good also!!

Stopped by to grab some sandwiches for our trip to the Avenue of the Giants. The sandwiches were good from what I remember, but I was also driving for a really long time. Maybe I was just hungry. Keep an eye on those water bags with the pennies in them. They're supposed to ward off flies. Only downside is that they don't take credit cards.

The best sandwich I’ve had in quite a long time! The wait was long after ordering, but the food was worth it. Great atmosphere and the servers were professional and kind!

On a road trip and we needed to stop in Willits for an other errand, and I was hangry. The first 2 places we stopped just didn't have a good vibe. I am so thrilled that we didn't settle. This place is charming with train decor and a lovely outdoor patio in the front. The menu was perfect for our blended group - omnivores and vegetarian. My husband had the BLT and loved it. Our friend had a breakfast sandwich and loved it. I ordered the hot KC sub with avocado and sunflower seeds. Y'all this sandwich has haunted me for 3 weeks now....it was so delicious. I have been trying to figure out when I will be able to make the 3.5 hour drive again. Can a sandwich be a destination?
