Review La Tolteca - Buffalo, Ny - Williamsville

We had the jalapeño poppers, the tortilla soup and I had the Burrito Grande. Delicious! Service was spot on. I highly recommend when desire the spicy!

Early dinner. The service was great but our margaritas were warm. So weird. Happy hour pricing maybe that's why? Loved the chips and salsa, added on queso which was good too. 2 enchilada dinners ordered both came out looking great! My verde was naked! I like the lettuce, pico, sour cream garnish so I got it as an add on. All and all a filling, great tasting meal.

We have loved La Tolteca for years! Food is always consistent and of good quality. Service is always good as well. This is a family favorite!

Great lunch specials. Chips and salsa for the table. Had the chicken chimichanga this time, but had the burrito last time. Both were very good. Beans and rice, especially the rice were good.

First time at this restaurant, passing thru We were hungry and love mex food decided to try this place. My experience here was not that great , Decor is nice, it reminds me another fav rest we go often in Fort Wayne,IN. Got to the door took a minute for someone to sit us, staff seems not so friendly like many other places I been. I'm a former Flight Attendant I been in many places maybe is the East Coast personality who knows? The Guacamole was not the best , the food was ok, my carnitas was a bit salty, if Chef Ramsey was at this place he might even fail them. But there is room for improvement. Got a margarita it was ok also. We left the place with some many disappoitment , since we love mex food, and saw past reviews were excited to give a try but it turns out to be a total fail for us.

Today was my first visit. The food and service was great but I had to take away 1 star because my margarita was pleasing to the eyes but seemed to be missing the alcohol taste. I will definitely go again but will ask for a extra shot in my drink to give it the flavor it should have.

I felt like they tried their best to provide the best service. Food was good but my dish, gravy sauce like food, was a bit salty. Another one was tasty. Rice with corns was excellent!

My wife and I eat here on occasion. We have no complaints. The food is aways good, always HOT when it comes out. The prices are reasonable, about what you'd expect. Service is ok. Nothing to complain about, but nothing that stands out as exceptional. We'll be going back!!

My boyfriend and I went in on a Sunday at 6ish. There was a 20 min wait, so we waited at the bar where we were greeted by a not so friendly bartender who got into an argument w an older couple at the bar. Once seated, our server was very pleasant, but it took a long time to get our meals. The server was accommodating and brought us chips and salsa refills while we waited. Once the food came, it was delicious!! I was a little irritated by the wait but once the food came out it was worth it! We ended up being there for 2 hours but I would recommend this place to anyone who is not in a hurry and can be patient! Just avoid the nasty bartender!

I went here for the first time with a group for a birthday. We took some bar tables. The place was packed. I cannot imagine why! The food was terrible! It either had no flavor at all or was way too salty. The bar service was awful. The bartender was no where to be found and we waited for ages to get a drink. She was unfriendly too. I felt like she acted as if she was doing us a favor by serving us. I would never go there again.

I had the simpatia chicken (I think that's what it was called) - a chicken curry. It was delicious (also had a good spicy flavor) but the rice was bland (good when mixed together). The restaurant was decorated well and was well kept. It was pretty busy and loud that night. The service was decent.

I never liked Mexican food till I went there 5 years ago. #154 is still awesome! Great service. Awesome food. The girls loved the margaritas

Food was awesome! Service was ok. They were so busy I felt like our server was a little overwhelmed.

First I couldnt sit at the bar. The Margaritas were watery. Taste like the margarita mix with ice. Had to ask for someone to clean our table. One of my guests who is 35 couldnt get 1 because she didnt have her ID. A very small cup of Queso for $7. Was not satisfied here. This place is out my system. Thanks but no thanks

My husband and I went to the Hamburg location on Sunday. We both ordered the Texas fajitas. I also got beans as an extra. Our rice and beans came out at least ten minutes before the fajitas. When the fajitas finally did arrive mine was so burnt. When I told my waitress she said. Oh I'll tell. The chef, he didn't put enough wine in the pan. I emailed the company. Never heard back. Never will I eat here again. Spent $45.00 on burnt food and not even an apology. I even took pictures. Don't go here!!!!!

Jim M was a phenomenal waiter. We were very pleased and dinner was delicious as always!

Never had a problem with the food--it's always fantastic--and the service is always top-notch! Went for a late lunch Thurs and our waiter, Jim, was very attentive...this is always our first choice as far as restaurants go--always!!

Food was great... Had a band playing, the music was good, made it very loud in the place. The service was good. Would go back.

nice place .. good atmosphere.. horrible portions for the price.... left there and went to a burger joint after the visit.. they might want to rethink the portions .... or lower the prices .....

Super great food. Fast service. Vegetarian tamales, freshly made chips and the guacamole were excellent. I'll be back to try more.

So sad... This used to be my favorite place... Left after waiting an hour for our food.. The manager's comments? ' yes, the server told me, but, it was only 18 minutes, I will look into it later".... Ummmmmm... Nope. I would have happily waited 20 minutes...

The Fish Tacos were nasty and very dry.. No Flavor
