I love the cheese shop! I used to go there all the time as a W&M student and was lucky enough to return this weekend. The sandwiches are delicious (don't skip the marinated tomato add-on), house dressing is the traditional food of the college students, and I love the m&m brownies. The cheese counter is great too. I like to get a small piece of my favorite cheese and some new ones I've never tried from the cheese odds and ends basket with a couple of rolls for a quick picnic for two that lets me skip the sandwich line. Always crowded but worth the wait. Well done, cheese shop. I only wish you had a California location :)

14 years ago we found this place on our honeymoon. Best sandwiches ever. This year we finally returned and found this place is still the best! Thanks for keeping it real and staying open all these years! Worth the wait and worth the crowd.

What a great spot!! For someone with gluten and allergy concerns I was able to find stuff to eat that was tasty and filling. Fun atmosphere, great location.

I love the sandwich and the house dressing is so good. It does get busy so you have to go early but it is definitely worth it. I love that you can buy the house dressing in a jar.

This is a well loved and trusted stop in our Williamsburg dinning guide. There is always a long line but it is totally worth the wait. Every sandwich is a winner but we love the smoked turkey, pepper jack with sprouts and the house dressing!

Went there two days in a row so I guess we loved it. Good wine and excellent selection of specialty cheeses. Get the cheese plate because you get to choose 3 cheeses. :)

This is my go to spot for lunch when I’m out in Williamsburg. I tend to go after 1:00pm to avoid the lines and crowds. The sandwiches are very good but the wait can have you starving til they call your name. I now go to the cheese counter get some Brie, bread and ask them to get me 1/4 lb ham etc. or I’ll get some sausage or prosciutto. Also try the Stonewall Kitchen Horseradish Mustard that they sell. I find a quietish spot and dive in. They have a wonderful selection of cheeses and they work hard to find something to suit your taste.

So much more than cheese! So many cheese-adjacent products that you can eat there or easily take home with you if you’re on vacation, including a variety of alcohol and fresh-made sandwiches. We got a cheese plate for two that includes three cheeses of your choice, dried fruit, and crackers for only $20. Tammy was wonderful and she gave us honest and helpful guidance for helping us choose what cheese we were looking for. We had euphoria, moses sleeper, and a raspberry ale cheddar. All incredible and unique especially if you like funkier and sharper cheeses.

Friendly staff eager to help and make recommendations for both cheese and wine. Been before and made a point to stop again. I tried to go Monday and it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays 😔 so made another trip Wednesdays and not disappointed. Made a vacation charcuterie plate. Everyone loved it! It went fast!

This place is great, they have great food, and a lot of homemade items like various kinds of dressings, honey and jams. They have an outdoor seating area, which is a great place to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. I had a corned beef sandwhich which had some spicy mustard, I cant handle much spice but other than, it was great! Great place to hangout and enjoy the weather and food

Such a fun place to shop! Many speciality items, cheeses, noodles, relishes, jams, drinks, etc. Gotta try the sandwiches made in the shop too. Long line but moved quickly. Really good lunch stop with lots of tables and chairs to sit outside.
