Always make it a priority to have dinner here when in town. The menu selection is great, fast and courteous service, and it never disappoints. Tonight, our server Jade was very conscientious of our kids and made sure we had the best experience. Highly recommend 2nd St!!!

The delightful lights twinkling all around the building ooutside drew us in on a very rainy night Friday....plus the fact that there was only one parking space available! A comfortable table, a great buzz of conversation and laughter all around ...a welcome glass of wine set my sister-in-law and me to purruse the menu....I couldn't resist ordering the shrimp and grits with the andouille sausage and she got the lasagna......the shrimp and gits were the best I've had and I order it a lot! Our server, Cameron, was great....atentive, good suggestions and explanations in response to our questions. Then on Sunday, before we were leaving Williamsburg, we went back for lunch and took my granddaughter with us to introduce her to this wonderful place. Cameron was waiting table again so we were fortunate to get him as out server! This time I ordered the Italian roast turkey sandwich which was served with a tapanade...unusual and a tasty condiment. 5 stars for sure....when we come back to the Williamsburg area, we look forward to revisiting Second Street!
We just finished an excellent meal Second Street. We are from Mechanicsville, VA and played music for he kind folks Dominion Village this afternoon. We decided to have dinner before leaving the area and Yelp brought us here. Jade was a superb waitress and her recommendations were on point. Thx Jade for making our first experience at Second Street a special one.
We were in town from vacation and this place was amazing! Our server Jade was one of the best servers I’ve ever had and she made it easy to feel at home. We are the Thai shrimp, frittata balls and both had soups. Which all were hands down delish! Than we took desert home! Thanks for the yummy food and great service!!
Cameron was our server, he made our dining a wonderful experience. Our meal was great I would dine their again and recommend to friends and family.
Fell in love with this little gem of a place which is now our new favorite in Williamsburg. Love that the owner is Hungarian! If you have not tried their wine from their Napa winery they are delicious! Oh and did I mention their great happy hour even on the weekends! And most important the food was fantastic!!
I absolutely loved this place. The service was amazing. Amanda A. took such great care of us. She recommended the ribs and they were the best that I have ever had. I will absolutely come back when visiting Williamsburg. You’ve got to try this place.
Great Date Night With the Hubby! The food was super yum! The Bison Meatloaf is really tasty. John K was our waiter and he was wonderful! Really detailed, made great recommendations and very attentive. Great food+Great service=Great Night! #SecondStreetGotItRight
The burger was delicious. The servers were attentive and frequently asked how everything was. Our server John K. was friendly, prompt and is an excellent server.
Robin is the best, she was very attentive even though we had 7 girls and 2 adults. She made sure we all enjoyed the great food. Mickey the owner even came over and spent time with the girls before we celebrated some birthdays.
The place you retreat to when in Williamsburg for a great meal, fantastic service and desserts that entice the eye and the palate. Less than a mile from the colonial area, 2nd Street provides a restful haven from a long day of walking and sightseeing. The bar offers local beers and wines, and the outdoor seating allows one to enjoy a beautiful day or evening. Take the time, 2nd Street is worth it.
We started with the fried green tomatoes. I had the crab cake and my wife had the second street bistro pasta and both were excellent. Service was great. I would recommend this restaurant.
Drinks are very good! Flavorful and strong � Cameron was an awesome server! He knows the menu well, he’ll direct you to the best options for you! This is my second time coming.. last night and today.. I might even get a chance to be coming back before retiring home, out of state!
Great local eatery. The fried green tomatoes were great with bacon. The Burger was flavorful and cooked perfectly and the carrot cake. Big enough for 3 but the most moisture cake I have had in a while. I recommend this eatery to everyone. The service was phenomenal!

No call ahead seating or reservations - first come first served
It is spring break for quite a few nearby states so the place is very busy. We had a late lunch here today so the wait wasn’t bad at all. We sat outside on a covered patio next to a pond with koi fish.
The food was outstanding. Even the kid’s menu was good. The hamburger platter came with a garlic bread that was really good. The bread is light and the garlic seasoning is perfectly done. And then there were the french fries. I don’t eat french fries often because they are mostly not that good. But Second Street did it well.
We ordered crab pile, baby back ribs and seafood bake. The dishes were well done. The seafood bake was slightly spicy with a twist of creole taste. The crab pile was large lump crab meat. Baby back ribs were fall off the bone tender. We were really full after the entrees but decided on dessert anyway. The mixed berry crisp and vanilla ice cream did not disappoint.
It was a very nice lunch. Service was great too. Server was really friendly and attentive. Certainly will come back if I visit Williamsburg again.

I got the steak and that was probably the best steak I’ve had someone else cook me. The sauce that went with it was probably not the best paired but the steak stood on its own. I kid you not, the steak was so tender that I took a bit out of like it was a hamburger. The side were also amazing! The fried pickles were so good. I also enjoyed the atmosphere, was open yet felt inviting and sophisticated. You will not regret eating here.
Thank you Second Street American Bistro for another fabulous meal. Our server Shannon was very friendly and was on point. The manager Anna stopped by our table to see how our meal was and we were delighted to tell her that we had a spectacular experience. Top Notch service. Thank you. We will return when we are back in town.

The Plant Based Patty adds $4 to a $16/17 burger. I know that patty isn't double the price of the high-grade beef they use for their burgers, so I guess the price is for convenience. The total for a burger and iced tea was $24.
Superb service and comfortable environment. The outdoor patio looked great on the cool sunny spring day.

Wow! Where should I start?! this place from the moment you walk in you feel a great peaceful vibe. Our server Jeremy P. was to say the least the best server we had in years. He was super attentive, provided great recommendations from their food menu and was a pleasure. The food was so good you can taste the quality in it something that many restaurants lost after the pandemic. Look at these amazing pics of our plates! you can sense the passion the chef has for food! The presentation, taste and quality is 5-star!
