Delicious vegetarian offerings. The spaghetti squash dish and quinoa grain salad were very tasty. Our server, Danielle, was attentive and a ray of sunshine (helpful since it was a little dark where we were sitting). Will definitely return and recommend.
Excellent bacon wrapped scallops with mashed potatoes & fresh steamed spinach. Wonderful bread and cornbread. Nice atmosphere to relax and dine with friends. Great service, very friendly staff. I highly recommend this restaurant!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sitting here with my girl scout troop and we loved every second. We have food allergies and a gluten free girl and they made sure that everything was perfect. The owner even came to the table to ensure our satisfaction. Our server was amazing! If we didn’t live five hours away, we would come here all the time!!!!!!
Seriously don’t know what you could say bad about this place! I loved the atmosphere, the decor, the quotes all over the place really fascinated me and the little trivia game cards on the table! And ok...let’s talk about the food!! We went for breakfast after seeing 2000 yelp reviews and a 4.5 rating! It did not disappoint! The owner came around to each table to check how things were! That’s a sign of a business that truly cares about quality and its guests! Well done sir!
Good food and great atmosphere. Great service from the wait staff and even the owner. I was impressed seeing the owner stop by almost everyone’s table while we were there and engage in real conversation. Got a free drink out of that.

Excellent ribs, pot roast and crab cakes! Wonderfully attentive staff! Would definitely go back next time we visit Williamsburg! Highly recommend
This spot has great food.
The service is excellent, the environment is comfortable, prices reasonable.
Delicious sandwiches, great salads, and wonderful entrees.
Can't wait to try the desserts !!!
I drive from Richmond to eat here!
5 stars for ''Food for Thought"
We stopped in Williamsburg on our way back to MI. We were looking for someplace different with great menu choices. Food for Thought has so many amazing reviews we had to see for ourselves. Food for Thought surpasses expectations. The food was AMAZING. The sangria was so good and I'm picky. The staff made us feel like we were the only table in the restaurant. Now that is the way I remember customer service to be. The various cards to read and talk about at the table were a unique way to spark conversation laughter and gave us "food for thought." I will definitely make a point of stopping in everytime I'm driving through to visit family.
Food was delicious!! Our waiter Shane was amazing and very knowledgeable. Great place, will definitely go back.

This is a must stop while in Williamsburg. Food is fresh and thoughtfully prepared; service is beyond 5 stars. Prices are totally reasonable. We love this place!
First time visiting was tonight. Was recommended by several friends and I will say they were correct. The staff was friendly. The decor was awesome. And the food.. Well, it was just awesome. We will definitely visit again.
As a vegetarian who has tried veggie burgers in many countries in Europe and all through the US. , Food for Thought has the best veggie burger in THE WORLD!
The food here was really good but what will make me return was the service! It was EXCELLENT! Tano, our server was friendly, attentive and extremely knowledgeable. With my parents being much older and a lil more picky and hard of hearing, he didn’t even bat an eye at helping them. My 86 year old Dad shook his hand after the dinner and let him know how much we appreciated his service. Tano is the reason we will definitely return again. Other restaurants could learn from the service provided here. Btw, the pot roast was stupendous!
Food for Thought, Incredible! This thought provoking clean eating restaurant was just outstanding. Food and Service both were exquisite. Our server was friendly, fast, well trained and organized. We had a wonderful experience with jokes and funnies. The entrees, desserts, drinks and appetizers were just delectable. All of the menu choices are hand picked by the owners and managers specifically to ensure a great customer experience. The adult beverages were perfect, great price, right punch etc. The Tea, was great! The tap water was not filtered but I wasn’t at this restaurant for water. I definitely recommend Food for Thought for anyone interested in clean eating with a twist of mental stimuli.
Atmosphere is fantastic. Restaurant is very clean, staff is very friendly and courteous. Food was absolutely spectacular. I had the "Best of Both World's". Steak was cooked perfectly. Crab cake was excellent. Mostly crab meat and very little filler (which is required to make it stick together). Not overly seasoned. Broccoli was perfectly cooked as well as the mashed red potatoes.
We stopped at food for thought in Williamsburg for lunch on a Sunday - there wasn't a wait before noon but when we left 35 mins. The food was solid, boneless tenders with house buffalo sauce, yes please, pot roast and meatloaf...fantastic, will put you right to sleep. Bread was even great. I don't eat fish and chips but allegedly it was also good. Bathrooms were backed up for a while, slight inconvenience.
If you're vegan, not only can you eat here, you will eat healthy, gourmet meals. I got the Ultimate Vegetarian with pesto and it was a delicious vegan meal. My husband got the mushroom stack and the sauce was to die for. I love that it is whole food plant-based with no processed meat analogs. They also had a couple of other vegan meals that looked great. Ask for the vegan flat bread because the regular bread is not vegan. The tomatoes that come with the bread was simply fabulous!! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the rice was to die for. My only recommendation is to have a few more vegan options to include appetizer.
My family had a pretty good experience here Saturday night. Our party (13) was pretty large and it wasn't a problem for our server. The food was good and the price point was good for the amount of food you receive. Entrées ordered included Meat Loaf, Salmon w/apple & onion chutney, Bacon wrapped scallops (that nights special, however were not large but the taste was pleasant), and a rather large salad topped with steak (rave reviews for the creamy balsamic dressing) that seemed to be a big hit! The owner came over towards the end of our meal and asked of our experience. Overall good dinner experience, a nice break from alot of the chain restaurants, that litter up and down Rt.60 all around this place.
Nice restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. For very good. Had the ribs which were good but a little dry. Owner is involved and checks on tables to make sure everyone is happy which is nice to have that much care from top down at an establishment. Tone at the top perfect example. Good prices and nice desserts for kids and adults. Best kids menu I've seen around with nice healthy choices and options
Hands down the best Shrimp and Grits I've ever had!! Also the wait staff and owner are super friendly. I'll make this place a mandatory detour anytime I visit Williamsburg :)
On the contrary, pot roast was okay. But between the ambiance and the rest of the food, the visit here was worth it
Visited here for the 1st time after reaching all of the great reviews and I have to say they were not lying. From our bartenders Thomas & Alex, our delicious meal and absolutely great attentive service! I love all of the cool wall quotes, the trivia and 'think' cards and just the whole experience honestly!!
Had the 'Shrimp boat' as an appetizer, then the special 'Cajun pineapple glazed salmon' as my entree.. Simply put 😋😘 yummy yummy in my tummy. Washed it all down with the 'Great margarita' and my desert tiramisu martini was sweet and delicious. The perfect end to it all.
This has obviously been added to my 'Favorites' list, it's well worth the 1hr drive from Richmond and I'll definitely be going back sooner rather than later.
